PAT-Tシリーズは定電圧/定電流自動移行型スイッチング直流電源です。ソフトスイッチング方式の採用により、効率改善、ローノイズ化を図るとともに、高密度実装技術を駆使して大幅な小型軽量化を達成。このクラスでは異例の「力率改善回路」を搭載し、電源環境の改善(高調波電流抑制)とともに、配電設備の簡素・小型化、そして消費電力の低減といった「省エネルギー」にも大きく貢献します。さらには、放熱設計の最適化により、動作保証周囲温度50℃を実現。高温下での全負荷連続運転といった過酷な使用環境にも対応できます。操作・表示パネルは、見やすさ、使いやすさを考えたシンプルで直感的なデザインとする一方、コンピュータやシーケンサによる制御を考慮し、外部アナログ制御、モニタ出力、ステータス出力とともに、RS-232Cインターフェースを標準装備（オプションにてUSB、GPIB、LANインターフェースにも対応）。スタンドアローンはもちろん、試験システムの組み込みにも使用することができます。

小型化・高効率・省エネの実現！＜ソフトスイッチング方式＞

パワーデバイスのスイッチング時、共振現象を巧みに利用し電圧または電流がゼロとなった状態でスイッチングをおこなう電源回路方式。このため原理的には電圧、電流の過渡交差は発生せず、スイッチング損失のない動作をおこなうことが可能になります。一般的に電圧がゼロの状態で行うスイッチングをZVS（Zero Voltage Switching）、電流がゼロの状態で行うスイッチングをZCS（Zero Current Switching）と呼んでいます。従来の電源回路ではスイッチング動作が高速化すると電力損失が増加し効率が低下するという問題がありましたが、ソフトスイッチング方式による電源回路の高効率化は電源から発生する熱損失を減らし回路の小型化が可能なため、機器の小型化のみならず、電源から発生する雑音を著しく少なくすることができる特長があります。

＜力率改善回路搭載＞

力率（PF）とは、交流回路の効率に関する値であり、皮相電力に対する有効電力の割合をいいます。力率が1に近いほど、受電設備を含めた電力エネルギーの利用効率がよいことになります。力率改善回路は、電源回路の入力部に組み込むことで、交流電圧と電流の位相差(波形のズレ=無効電力が生じる要因)を補正し、電力の利用効率を向上させます。具体的なメリットとしては、次のようなことがあげられます。

外部アナログコントロール機能

0 V〜約10 Vの外部電圧（Vext）または0 kΩ〜約10 kΩの外部抵抗（Rext）で 出力電圧を制御します。またFASTモード※を選択すると外部電圧コントロールにCPUを介さず直接制御できるので、コントロール電圧に対して出力電圧が変化するまでの遅延時間がありません。
