COMMUNITY SUBTITLE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE

These Community Subtitle Terms and Conditions of Use (these “Terms”) govern your access and use of community subtitle services (the “Services”) available on LINE TV mobile application and/or website available at https://tv.line.me (“LINE TV Platform”). 

The capitalized terms not defined but used herein have the meanings set forth in the LINE TV Terms and Conditions of Use.

1.  Your Agreement. 

By clicking “I accept Terms&Conditions and Privacy Policy”

 you acknowledge and confirm your agreement to these Terms together with the LINE TV Terms and Conditions of Use, Privacy Policy and any additional terms and conditions, guidelines, policy or similar document released or uploaded by us, which are incorporated herein by reference. If these Terms conflict with the LINE TV Terms and Conditions of Use, these Terms will take priority.

2.  Modifications. 

We may modify these Terms within the scope of the purpose of the Services, if we deem the modification necessary. In such case, we will notify you by posting the modified Terms and the start date of application on a readily available location within LINE TV Platform. The modification will become effective from the date of application specified by us.

3.  Services.  

   3.1  Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable permission for personal, non-commercial use of the Services to: (i) access television shows, movies, videos or other audio-visual content provided by us and third-parties (the “Content”); and (ii) access, participate and/or engage in a community of users of the Services including submitting subtitles for the Content using the methods provided by us.

   3.2  We reserve the right to modify, limit or discontinue the whole or any part of the Services at any time without prior notice and we will have no liability to you for any such unavailability.  

   3.3  The Services may contain links to third party websites that are not owned or controlled by us. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third party websites. By using the Services, you expressly relieve us from any and all liability arising from your use of any third-party website.

4.   Subtitle Submissions.  

   4.1  The Services permit your submission of subtitles for the Content (the “Subtitle Submissions”) and the hosting, sharing, and/or publishing of such Subtitle Submissions.

   4.2  You agree that the following restrictions shall apply with respect to any Subtitle Submissions:

      A.   We do not guarantee any confidentiality with respect to any Subtitle Submissions and shall have no liability to you for any content posted in Subtitle Submissions; and

      B.   We will have the right, but not the obligation, to review the Subtitle Submissions and delete any Subtitle Submissions that violate these Terms and/or contain any of the following types of content (each a “Prohibited Submission”): (i) any content that violates, or promotes or encourages the violation of, any applicable law, court verdicts, resolutions or orders, or administrative measures that are legally binding; (ii) any content that hinders public order or customs; (iii) any content that infringes, impairs or defames any person’s intellectual property rights, image rights, privacy or data protection rights, or any other rights granted by applicable law; (iv) any content that includes any grossly offensive material, violent, coarse, sexual or anti-social expressions, or expressions that lead to discrimination by age, national origin, creed, sex, gender, social status, family origin, and/or expressions that induce or encourage suicide, self-harm, or drug abuse. We may also edit, restrict, suspend, or remove your Subtitle Submissions if we reasonably determine that such Subtitle Submissions are inappropriate. 

   4.3  You will be solely responsible for your own Subtitle Submissions and the consequences of posting or publishing them. You affirm, represent, and warrant that you own or have the necessary licenses, rights, consents, and permissions to publish your Subtitle Submissions and grant us the necessary rights. We will not be held liable for any loss or damage caused by your reliance on any Subtitle Submissions.

   4.4  You retain all your ownership rights in your Subtitle Submissions. However, by submitting the Subtitle Submissions to us, you hereby grant to us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable, perpetual, unlimited, sub-licensable and transferable worldwide license to use, reproduce, distribute, exploit, prepare derivative works of, display, publish, broadcast, perform, import, commercialize, retain copies of, and otherwise transfer all copyright, inventions, and other intellectual property rights in the Subtitle Submissions in connection with the Services and our business, including without limitation for promoting and redistributing part or all of the Services (and derivative works thereof) in any form and media formats and through any media channels.

   4.5  If notified of an allegedly Prohibited Submission, we may investigate the allegation and determine in our sole discretion whether to remove the Subtitle Submission, which we reserve the right to do at any time and without notice.

5.   Termination. 

We reserve the right to terminate, suspend or block any or all features of your access or use of the Services at any time if we determine at our good faith discretion that you have committed a material breach of any terms of these Terms for reasons including, without limitation, copyright infringement, pornography, or obscenity.

6.   Exemption of Liability. 

We make no warranties or representations that the Services are free from de facto or legal flaws (including but not limited to stability, reliability, accuracy, integrity, effectiveness, fitness for a particular purpose, security-related faults, errors, bugs, or infringements of rights). We will not be responsible for providing the Services without such defects. We will not be responsible for any direct, indirect, special, incidental, consequential or punitive damages (including but not limited to such damages that could have been predicted) with respect to our contractual default or act of tort due our negligence (except for gross negligence).

7.   Notification and Contact.

  When we notify or contact you regarding the Service, we may use a method that we consider appropriate and is legal, such as posting notices within the Service. When you contact us, please use the inquiry form available on LINE TV Platform.

8.   Personal information. 

We will collect contact information submitted by you, including contributor name and email address, for the purposes of the Services and operating the Services. We will use such information to contact you on the review outcome, or to avoid abuse of the Services. We will appropriately handle privacy

information and personal information of yours in accordance with the

 

LINE TV Privacy Policy.

 

9.   Language, Governing Law and Jurisdiction.  

In the event of a contradiction between the English Version and Thai translation, the provisions in the English Version shall take precedence. These Terms and Conditions will be governed by the laws of Japan. Conflicts that arise from the Service or conflicts between Users and the Company related to the Service will be governed primarily under the exclusive jurisdiction of the District Court of Tokyo or the Tokyo Summary Court.

ในการทำงานเป็นเรื่องปกติที่ต้องมีการให้ข้อเสนอแนะ หรือคำติชมต่าง ๆ ซึ่งในภาษาอังกฤษก็คือคำว่า “Feedback” เป็นคำที่คนทำงานต้องเคยเห็น เคยพูด เคยได้ยิน และแทบใช้ทับศัพท์จนเคยชินกันไปแล้ว แต่รู้ไหมว่าคำง่าย ๆ แบบนี้มีคนใช้แบบผิด ๆ โดยไม่รู้ตัวกันเยอะมาก นั่นก็คือการเติม S หลังคำว่า Feedback

 

ถ้าคุณเป็นคนนึงที่เคยเขียนหรือพูด Feedbacks ให้เปลี่ยนใหม่ คุณจะใช้ “No feedback” “A bit of feedback” “Some feedback” หรือ “Tons of feedback” ก็ได้ แต่ทุกครั้งต้องไม่เติม S เท่านั้นเอง

 

เวลามีการประชุม พูดคุยเรื่องงานกันเป็นทีม เราย่อยมีการขอความคิดเห็น หรือขอข้อมูลเพิ่มเติมจากเพื่อนร่วมงานคนอื่น ๆ เพื่อให้งานออกมาสมบูรณ์ที่สุด และนี่คือตัวอย่างประโยคที่น่าฟังเวลาจะพูดเพื่อขอความเห็นจากคนอื่น ๆ 

 

1. ใช้ “weigh in” เพื่อขอความเห็น

“Would you like to weigh in on this?” “ใครมีข้อเสนอแนะอะไรเกี่ยวกับเรื่องนี้บ้างไหม?”

 

2. บอกว่าเราอยากฟังความคิดของเขา

“I would love to hear your thoughts.” “ฉันอยากจะได้ความคิดเห็นจากคุณ” หรือ “Let’s hear everyone’s thoughts on this.” “เรามาฟังความคิดเห็นจากทุกคนกันดีกว่า”

 

3 ใช้คำว่า Opinion ในการถาม

“Do you have an opinion on this issue?” “คุณมีความคิดเห็นยังไงในประเด็นนี้”

 

บางคนเลือกที่จะใช้คำว่า Input ที่แปลว่าข้อมูล ไอเดีย หรือคำแนะนำ ในประโยคที่ขอความคิดเห็น  ซึ่งการใช้คำนี้นั้นไม่ผิด แต่ต้องระวังอย่าเติม S หลังคำว่า Input เด็ดขาด

 

การมีความคิดเห็นไม่ตรงกันในการทำงานนั้นเกิดขึ้นได้เสมอ แต่การจะบอกคนอื่นว่าเราไม่เห็นด้วยกับสิ่งที่เขาทำ พูด หรือนำเสนอนั้น ไม่ใช่เรื่องที่จะพูดออกมาง่าย ๆ เพราะเราอาจจะกังวลว่ามันจะทำให้คนฟังไม่พอใจ แต่ยังไงก็ตามเรายังสามารถพูดออกมาด้วยประโยคที่ฟังดูเป็นมืออาชีพได้ ด้วย 3 วิธีนี้

 

1. “Have you considered…?”

วิธีนี้คนฟังจะรู้สึกเหมือนว่าเราถาม และตอบข้อสงสัยเราโดยไม่รู้สึกว่าถูกเราโจมตี เช่น “Have you considered whether this color fits in with the rest of our color palette?” “คุณได้พิจารณาแล้วใช่ไหมคะว่าสีนี้เหมาะสมกับพาเลตของเรา”

 

2. “I’m afraid I disagree.”

เป็นวิธีพูดว่า “Unfortunately, I disagree.” “น่าเสียดายจังที่ฉันไม่เห็นด้วย” อย่างอ่อนน้อมและสุภาพ เช่น “I understand your main point, I’m afraid I disagree, and this is why…” “ฉันเข้าใจประเด็นของคุณค่ะ แต่ฉันยังไม่เห็นด้วยเท่าไหร่ เพราะว่า…”

 

3. “Let’s agree to disagree.”

ในกรณีที่เลวร้าย หาทางออกไม่ได้ ต่างฝ่ายต่างมีเหตุผลและเถียงกันไม่จบ ไม่มีคนถูกหรือคนผิดเราอาจจะพูดได้แค่ว่า “Let’s agree to disagree.” คือเราตกลงกันว่าเราจะเห็นไม่ตรงกันในเรื่องนี้ แต่ก็ไม่เป็นไร จบประเด็นนี้แล้วไปพูดเรื่องอื่นเถอะ

 

 

การขอให้คนอื่นพูดซ้ำอีกครั้งในเรื่องที่เราไม่เข้าใจ หรือฟังไม่ชัดนั้นไม่ใช่เรื่องน่าอาย เพราะดีกว่าเราฟังและเข้าใจไปแบบผิด ๆ จนส่งผลต่อการทำงาน ซึ่งการจะขอให้เขาพูดทวนอีกครั้งแบบสุภาพ ที่ใช้ได้ทั้งการทำงาน ในห้องประชุม หรือสัมภาษณ์งาน สามารถพูดได้ ดังนี้

 

1. ขอให้เขาพูดอีกรอบไปแบบตรง ๆ เลย

“Could you repeat that please?” “พูดซ้ำได้ไหมคะ”

“Could you say that again?” “พูดอีกครั้งได้ไหม”

“Pardon me, could you repeat that?” “ขออภัยค่ะ พูดซ้ำได้ไหมคะ”

 

2. บอกเขาว่าเราไม่เข้าใจ

“I’m afraid I didn’t get that.” หรือ “I’m afraid I didn’t understand.” “ฉันเกรงว่าฉันยังไม่ค่อยเข้าใจเท่าไหร่”

 

3. บอกว่าไม่แน่ใจว่าเข้าใจถูกไหม และขอให้เขาอธิบายด้วยวิธีอื่น

“I’m not sure I understand, could you explain it in a different way?” “ฉันไม่ค่อยแน่ใจว่าเข้าใจถูกต้องหรือเปล่า ช่วยอธิบายด้วยวิธีอื่นได้ไหมคะ?”

 

คนทำงานอย่างเรา ๆ ต้องพบเจอผู้คนมากหน้าหลายตา ไม่ว่าจะเป็นตามงาน Event งาน Networking งานพบปะทางธุรกิจ หรือแม้แต่คนในแผนกอื่น ๆ ของบริษัทที่อาจมีเป็นร้อยเป็นพัน ซึ่งแน่นอนว่าการลืมชื่อคนที่เราเคยเจอนั้นเป็นเรื่องที่สามารถเกิดขึ้นได้ แต่ถ้าเราได้กลับมาเจอเขาอีกครั้งและต้องมีการพูดคุยกัน จะทำยังไงดีให้รู้ชื่อของเขาแบบที่ยังดูเป็นมืออาชีพ เรามีวิธีมาแนะนำ

 

1. ยอมรับไปตรง ๆ ว่าเราลืมชื่อเขา ขอโทษ แล้วถามชื่อเขาอีกครั้ง

“I’m terribly sorry. I’m bad with names. Could you repeat your name for me, please?” “ฉันขอโทษจริง ๆ ฉันจำชื่อคนไม่เก่ง ขอถามชื่ออีกครั้งได้ไหมคะ”

“Forgive me, I can’t recall your name at the moment. Could I ask for your name again, please?” “ให้อภัยฉันเถอะนะ แต่ฉันจำชื่อคุณไม่ได้จริง ๆ ขอถามชื่ออีกครั้งได้ไหมคะ”

 

2. ถ้าพอจะจำอะไรเกี่ยวกับเขาได้บ้าง ให้พูดออกไป เพื่อแสดงให้เห็นว่าเราไม่ได้ลืมเขา

“I’m so sorry, I know we met at last year’s trade show and I remember you. I just have forgotten your name. Could you please repeat it?” “ฉันขอโทษจริง ๆ ฉันจำได้ว่าเราเคยเจอกันที่งานแสดงสินค้าปีที่แล้ว ฉันจำคุณได้ แต่ฉันลืมชื่อคุณจริง ๆ ขอถามอีกรอบได้ไหม?”

 

“I’m so sorry. We had that great chat over breakfast, but I’ve forgotten your name. Could you tell me again, please?” “ขอโทษนะคะ ฉันจำได้ว่าเราคุยกันสนุกมากเมื่อตอนทางอาหารเช้า แต่ฉันลืมชื่อคุณจริง ๆ คุณช่วยบอกชื่อคุณอีกรอบได้ไหมคะ”

 

3. แนะนำเพื่อนร่วมงานคนอื่นของเราให้เขารู้จัก

วิธีนี้จะเป็นวิธีที่เราได้รู้ชื่อเขาแบบเนียน ๆ เพราะเมื่อเราแนะนำเพื่อนร่วมงานเราแล้ว คนที่เราลืมชื่อเขาก็จะอาจจะแนะนำตัวเองกับเพื่อนของเรา ซึ่งตอนนั้นเราก็จะได้รู้ชื่อไปพร้อม ๆ กัน ซึ่งประโยคแนะนำก็อาจจะพูดว่า “May introduce you to Sandra? She is our CFO and she’s one of the co-founders.”

การถูกขัดจังหวะหรือมีคนอื่นพูดแทรกขึ้นมาตอนที่เรายังพูดไม่จบ เป็นสถานการณ์ที่เราเจอกันบ่อย ๆ ซึ่งนอกจากจะเป็นการเสียมารยาท ทำให้คนที่พูดต้องสะดุดแล้ว ยังทำให้ต้องเสียเวลาและพลังงานในการพากลับเข้าเรื่องที่กำลังคุยกันอยู่อีกด้วย และนี่คือ 3 วิธีการพูดเพื่อรับมือกับสถานการณ์แบบนี้

 

1. บอกสิ่งที่เรากำลังจะพูดต่อออกมา โดยเริ่มด้วยประโยคว่า “As I was saying…” “ที่ฉันกำลังจะพูดก็คือ…”

2. ถ้าเขายังขัดไม่เลิก ให้พูดออกไปว่า “Can we comeback to that point later?” “ไว้ค่อยคุยเรื่องนั้นกันนอกรอบได้ไหม?” เพื่อให้เขารู้ว่าเรื่องที่เขาพูดแทรกขึ้นมานั้นสามารถพูดทีหลังได้

3. ในกรณีที่ไม่หยุดก่อกวนจริง ๆ ก็ต้องบอกไปตรง ๆ เลยว่าให้ช่วยฟังที่เราพูดให้จบก่อนได้ไหม “Could you let me finish what I was saying?”

 

การทำงานกับปัญหาต่าง ๆ เป็นของที่มาคู่กันอยู่แล้ว ทำให้เราจะต้องมีการพูดคุยกันในทีมเพื่อรับรู้ปัญหาและหาทางแก้ ซึ่งประโยคที่มักจะคุ้นเคยกันก็คือ “Talk about a problem” แต่ถ้าอยากจะให้ฟังดูเป็นทางการมากขึ้น เราควรจะเปลี่ยนเป็น “Address an issue” แทน ซึ่งสามารถใช้ได้ในทั้งในกรณีที่ต้องการจะบอกว่าเรารับรู้ถึงปัญหา อภิปราย และหาทางแก้ไข

 

ตัวอย่างประโยค เช่น

“Let’s address this issue at the next meeting.” “ไว้เรามาหาทางออกของปัญหานี้กันในการประชุมคราวหน้านะคะ” หรือ “Our PR team has come up with s strategies to address this issue.”

“ฝ่าย PR ของเรามีไอเดียดี ๆ ที่จะใช้ในการแก้ปัญหานี้”

 

นอกจากนั้นเมื่อเราต้องการพูดว่าพบสาเหตุของปัญหาแล้ว แทนที่จะพูดว่า “Find the problem” ก็ควรเปลี่ยนมาใช้ “Identify the issue” แทน ในขณะที่การพูดถึงการคลี่คลายปัญหานั้น ก็ควรพูดว่า “Resolve the problem” แทน “Fix the problem” เพื่อฟังดูมืออาชีพมากขึ้น

 

ในการพูดคุยงานหรือประชุม บางครั้งอาจจะมีคนพูดออกนอกประเด็นหรือกำลังจะเปลี่ยนประเด็นไป โดยที่เรายังมีเรื่องที่อยากจะพูดหรือถาม ในกรณีนี้เราสามารถพูดแทรกขึ้นมาอย่างสุภาพและดูเป็นมืออาชีพได้ง่าย ๆ ว่า “May I ask a question?” “ขอถามนิดนึงได้ไหม?” เช่น “May I ask a question before we proceed?” “ก่อนที่เราจะไปขั้นตอนต่อไป ขอถามอะไรนิดนึงได้ไหมคะ?” ซึ่งเราสามารถใช้ประโยคนี้ทั้งกับเจ้านาย หรือผู้ใหญ่ได้ด้วย

 

การจดบันทึกหรือสรุปสิ่งที่พูดคุยกันไม่ว่าจะเป็นในการประชุม การสรุปการทำงาน หรือในสถานการณ์ต่าง ๆ ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับงาน ถือเป็นสิ่งที่ควรทำอย่างมาก ซึ่งขณะที่มีการพูดคุยกันอยู่ เราสามารถแจ้งให้คนอื่น ๆ ทราบว่าเรากำลังจะจดบันทึกได้ด้วยประโยคเหล่านี้

1. “Shall I put this in writing?” “ขอจดบันทึกไว้ได้ไหมคะ?”

2. “Shall I summarize this in an email?” “ขอส่งสรุปผ่านอีเมลนะคะ?”

 

การจดบันทึกและส่งสรุปให้คนที่เราคุยด้วยนั้น นอกจากป้องกันไม่ให้เราลืมสิ่งที่คุยกัน และไม่ให้รายละเอียดต่าง ๆ ตกหล่นแล้ว ยังสามารถเป็นการรีเช็กว่าทุกฝ่ายเข้าใจตรงกันได้อีกด้วย

 

เมื่อต้องพูดสิ่งที่เราต้องการ หลายคนมักจะใช้ประโยคว่า “I want to” แต่ถ้าเราอยากจะพูดแบบตรงไปตรงมา ให้ตัวเองดูมีความมั่นใจ และเป็นมืออาชีพด้วย เราควรจะเปลี่ยนมาใช้ประโยคว่า “I would like to” แทน ซึ่งเป็นประโยคที่ฟังสุภาพและดูดีกว่า และรูปแบบการใช้ในประโยคก็ไม่ได้แตกต่างกัน เช่น ถ้าอยากจะปรึกษาเรื่องการขึ้นเงินเดือนกับเจ้านาย ก็แค่เปลี่ยนจาก “I want to discuss a raise at the next meeting.” เป็น “I would like to discuss a raise at the next meeting.”
