Past Simple Tense

Past Simple Tense คือ Tense ที่ใช้พูดถึงเหตุการณ์ที่เกิดขึ้นในอดีต จบลงไปแล้ว มักนิยมใช้คู่กับกริยาวิเศษณ์ที่บ่งบอกเวลาที่เกิดขึ้นในอดีต หรือสามารถใช้ในการเล่าเรื่องนิทานในอดีต

“Past” แปลว่า อดีต “Simple” แปลว่า ง่ายๆ ที่ง่ายก็เพราะโครงสร้างของ Tense นี้ง่ายมากๆนั่นคือ ‘ประธาน + กริยาช่องที่ 2 (ส่วนใหญ่เติม ed)’

• I went to the park yesterday. (ฉันไปสวนมาเมื่อวานนี้)

• I bought a new camera last week. (ฉันซื้อกล้องใหม่เมื่อสัปดาห์ที่แล้ว)

• He learned to play the guitar very quickly. (เขาเรียนรู้การเล่นกีตาร์อย่างรวดเร็ว)

• We drove to the zoo last weekend. (พวกเราขับรถไปที่สวนสัตว์สุดสัปดาห์ที่แล้ว)

• We went up the hill. (พวกเราขึ้นไปบนภูเขา)
• The wicked Queen gave Snow White a poisoned apple. (ราชินิใจร้ายให้แอปเปิ้ลยาพิษแก่สโนไวท์)

โครงสร้างประโยคบอกเล่า

ประธาน + V.2

V.2 คือ กริยาช่องที่ 2 ส่วนใหญ่เติม ed ต่อท้าย

ตัวอย่าง

• กริยาช่อง 2 ที่เติม ed

1. Mom opened the door for us. (แม่เปิดประตูให้กับพวกเรา)
2. We visited our parents last week. (พวกเราไปเยี่ยมพ่อแม่สัปดาห์ที่แล้ว)

• กริยาช่อง 2 ที่ไม่เปลี่ยนรูป

1. He shut the door. (เขาปิดประตู)
2. I put some sugar in my tea. (ฉันใส่น้ำตาลลงในน้ำชาของฉัน)

• กริยาช่อง 2 ที่เปลี่ยนรูปไปเลย 

1. I lost my keys. (ฉันทำกุญแจหาย) 
2. I heard a noise last night. (ฉันได้ยินเสียงเมื่อคืนนี้)

• กริยาช่อง 2 ที่เป็นกริยาช่วย was, were, had, did..etc.

 

โครงสร้างประโยคคำถาม

ตัวอย่าง

• Did you go to the park? (คุณได้ไปสวนสาธารณะหรือเปล่า)
• Were you at home last night? (คุณอยู่บ้านหรือเปล่าเมื่อคืนนี้)

โครงสร้างประโยคปฏิเสธ

ประธาน + กริยาช่วย + not + กริยาหลัก

ตัวอย่าง

• She didn’t enjoy the movie. (เธอไม่ได้สนุกกับหนัง)
• He wasn’t at home last night. (เขาไม่ได้อยู่บ้านเมื่อคืนนี้)

 

กฎคือ

1. กรณีที่ไม่มีกริยาช่วยในประโยค

ประโยคคำถาม: ใส่ did เข้าไปหน้าประโยค แล้วเปลี่ยนกริยาหลักเป็น Infinitive Verb (Inf.V.= กริยาไม่ผันรูปไม่เติม s/es/ed/ing) 

ประโยคปฏิเสธ: ใส่ did เข้าไปตรงตำแหน่งกริยาช่วยตามด้วย not แล้วเปลี่ยนกริยาหลักเป็น Infinitive Verb 

ตัวอย่าง

บอกเล่า:  She ate the cookie. (เธอทานคุ้กกี้)

คำถาม: Did she eat the cookie? (เธอได้ทานคุ้กกี้หรือเปล่า)

ปฏิเสธ: She did not eat the cookie. (เธอไม่ได้ทานคุ้กกี้)

 

2. กรณีที่มีกริยาช่วยในประโยคแล้ว

ประโยคคำถาม: ใช้กริยาช่วยนั้นขึ้นต้น

ประโยคปฏิเสธ: ใส่ not ตามหลังกริยาช่วยได้เลย

ตัวอย่าง

บอกเล่า: He was at school yesterday. (เขาอยู่ที่โรงเรียนเมื่อวานนี้)

คำถาม: Was he at school yesterday? (เขาอยู่ที่โรงเรียนเมื่อวานนี้หรือเปล่า)

ปฏิเสธ: He wasn’t at school yesterday. (เขาไม่ได้อยู่ที่โรงเรียนเมื่อวานนี้)
