2023 Kia Sportage | First Look

What you’re looking at is the allnew 2023 Kia Sportage. And there is a lot to know. But first, Kia is making a big stylistic swing with the Sportage. Those vshaped front lighting elements, the Kia Stingeresque taillight treatment, the lower black trim that slyly slims the profile. \r\r
As tends to happen in the automotive world, the 5th generation Sportage, which rides on the same platform as the larger Kia Sorento, has grown larger than the previous Sportage.
It’s 7.1inches longer overall with a 3.4inch longer wheelbase. Sportage gen 5 is also taller and wider, with what Kia claims is classleading rear legroom and bestinclass cargo space.
\r\rIn front, the interior’s style feels a little more restrained than its exterior but there are interesting details. Namely this touchpad and these knobs. They actually function as either climate or audio controls depending on what you need to adjust. \r\rAnother area of interest is the Infotainment zone. This particular Sportage has the dual 12.3inch curved display setup that’s reserved for the highest trims. That is a lot of screen real estate.
An 8inch screen comes standard but move up from the base LX trim and the center screen expands to Kia’s 12.25inch unit.
Regardless of trim Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard. \r\rMoving onto powertrains, the standard mill is a 2.5liter 4cylinder paired with an 8speed automatic transmission, likely making 187 horsepower. Fuel economy numbers haven’t been announced but Kia expects an 8% improvement which would put a frontdrive Sportage at about 28mpg combined. For even great fuel economy, hybrid and a plugin hybrid will join the Sportage roster a little down the road. And, as you’d expect, frontwheel drive comes standard while allwheel drive is optional.
Take note, ground clearance fans. Choosing allwheel drive bumps up ground clearance by 1.5inches. \r\rOn that note, if you’ve ever longed for a more rugged Kia Sportage. Prepare to rejoice. \r\rIn addition to the Sportage XLine trim, which simply looks kinda rugged there is now a Sportage XPro trim which actually is kinda rugged.
To facilitate grander adventures, the XPro includes standard allwheel drive, B.F. Goodrich allterrain tires mounted to 17inch black wheels along with LED fog lights and 4 drive modes.\r\rThough none of those modes seem focused on offroad conditions (Normal, Sport, Smart, and Snow).
\r\rOk, there isn’t a dedicated mudandruts setting but Kia personnel noted that the XPro’s drive modes are specifically tuned to work with its allterrain tire, helping grant the XPro slightly greater accessibility to the unpaved world.\r\r
As for equipment, the standard roster will include collision warning and braking assistance with pedestrian and bicyclist detection, plus a lanekeeping assist, and rear parking sensors.
You can also tack on a 360degree camera system, a blind spot camera shown in the gauge cluster, and fullspeed dynamic cruise control. \r\r
There’s a lot we don’t know including pricing and the nitty gritty details on the hybrid versions. But I can tell you that the Kia Sportage will go on sale in the US in the first quarter of 2022. Welcome to the future. \r

There are a lot of ways to make money with a Youtube channel, but today we are just going to cover the ones we have used and share how much we have made from them.
Adsense: Adsense is the money we earn from showing ads on our videos. The amount earned varies greatly from monthtomonth because it is dependent on views and/or the algorithm.
Brand Deals: This is when a company will pay us to talk about their product or service for a portion of our video. We try to only promote things that we truly believe in.
Affiliate Marketing: These are the links you find in the description to some of the products we use. When you click on these links and buy the product we receive a small commission.
Remember our first year was making videos was for free so you really can’t do it for the money. You have to have a passion for not just filmmaking but the subject matter of your videos as well. We believe in working towards Youtube because it’s growable/scalable. Our previous jobs have always been limited by the amount of hours in a day. With Youtube you can make money while you sleep.
There are a lot of other ways to make money on Youtube that we have not utilized yet. These include superchat, superthanks, memberships/Patreon, and selling products or services. We plan to start using some more of these this next year!

All you really NEED is a phone and topic you are passionate about. Everyone has a unique perspective that they can bring. If you don’t feel like you have a passion, your channel could be about “finding your passion”!
