Past Simple Tense ใช้พูดถึงเหตุการณ์ที่เกิดขึ้นในอดีตและจบสิ้นลงไปแล้ว โดยมักจะมีการระบุช่วงเวลาไว้ด้วยว่าเกิดขึ้นเมื่อไหร่ มาดูโครงสร้างและวิธีใช้งานกันเลย

หมายเหตุ
-
เมื่อเราใช้ did แสดงถึงอดีตแล้ว เราไม่จำเป็นต้องใช้ 2 นะจ๊ะ สามารถใช้ V. 1 ได้เลย
- S.= Subject (ประธาน)
- V. = Verb (กริยา)
Verb ช่อง 2 คือ คำกริยาที่แสดงถึงเหตุการณ์ที่เกิดขึ้นในอดีต ซึ่งส่วนใหญ่ Verb จำพวกนี้จะลงท้ายด้วย –ed ค่ะ โดยหลักการเติม –ed มี 5 ข้อง่ายๆดังนี้
1. กริยาทั่วไปมักจะสามารถเติม –ed ได้เลย
Walk——–Walked
Cook——–Cooked
Listen——- Listened
2. กริยาที่ลงท้ายด้วย e ให้เติม d ได้เลย
love – loved = รัก
move – move = เคลื่อน
hope – hoped = หวัง
3. กริยาที่ลงท้าย ด้วย y และหน้า y เป็นพยัญชนะ ให้เปลี่ยน y เป็น i แล้วเติม ed
deny – denied = ปฏิเสธ
modify – modified = ปรับเปลี่ยน
worry – worried = กังวลใจ
ข้อยกเว้น ถ้าหน้า y เป็นสระ ใหเติม ed ได้เลย เช่น
play – played = เล่น
stay – stayed = พัก , อาศัย
enjoy – enjoyed = สนุก
obey – obeyed = เชื่อฟัง
4. กริยาที่มีพยางค์เดียว มีสระตัวเดียว และลงท้ายด้วยพยัญชนะที่เป็นตัวสะกดตัวเดียวให้เพิ่มพยัญชนะที่ลงท้ายอีก 1 ตัว แล้วเติม ed
plan – planned = วางแผน
stop – stopped = หยุด
beg – begged = ขอร้อง
5. กริยาที่มี 2 พยางค์ แต่ลงเสียงหนักพยางค์หลัง และพยางค์หลังนั้น มีสระตัวเดียว และลงท้ายด้วยพยัญชนะที่เป็นตัวสะกดตัวเดียว ให้เพิ่มพยัญชนะที่ลงท้ายอีก 1 ตัว แล้วเติม ed
concur – concurred = ตกลง, เห็นด้วย
occur – occurred = เกิดขึ้น
refer – referred = อ้างถึง
permit – permitted = อนุญาต
ข้อยกเว้น ถ้าออกเสียงหนักที่พยางค์แรก ไม่ต้องเติมพยัญชนะตัวสุดท้ายเข้ามา เช่น
cover – covered = ปกคลุม
open – opened = เปิด
นอกจากการเติม-ed แล้ว กริยาช่อง 2 ยังมีความพิเศษอีกอย่างนึงคือสามารถเปลี่ยนรูปได้อีกด้วย มาดูกันเลยว่ากริยาช่อง2 ที่มีการเปลี่ยนรูปนั้นมีคำอะไรบ้าง คลิ๊กเพื่อดูตัวอย่าง กริยาช่อง 3

ประโยคบอกเล่า
I went to the theme park yesterday.
ฉันเพิ่งไปสวนสนุกมาเมื่อวาน
ประโยคปฏิเสธ
He did not visit his grandmother in ages.
เขาไม่ได้ไปหายายมานานแล้ว
ประโยคคำถาม
Did you do the laundry this morning?

หลากหลายวิธีการใช้ keep
Keep นอกจากจะแปลว่า “เก็บ,รักษา” แล้ว ยังแปลเป็นอย่างอื่นได้อีกด้วยมีรูปแบบการใช้ที่หลากหลายอีกร้อยแปดพันแบบค่ะ เคยเจอ keep ในประโยคมั้ยคะ แล้วแบบคิดไม่ออกว่าจะแปลว่าอะไรดี??
—-keepแรก แปลว่า “เก็บ,รักษา”—- ถึงจะรู้อยู่แล้วแต่ก็ต้องพูดซะหน่อย เพราะบางทีมันก็ใช้บ่อยกับบางคำ เช่น keep a secret keep a promise เช่น
- I must keep a promise I made.
ฉันต้องรักษาสัญญาที่ให้ไว้
—-keepต่อมาคือ keep + Ving—-keep แบบนี้มีความหมายว่า ทำสิ่งๆนั้นต่อไปเรื่อยๆ เช่น
- Even if our team has lost, we will keep playing soccer.
แม้ว่าทีมเราจะแพ้ เราก็จะเล่นฟุตบอลต่อไป
** ใช้ keep on + Ving ก็ให้ความหมายเดียวกันค่ะ
—-keep someone doing something—- ในโครงสร้างจะหมายถึง ให้ใครบางคนทำสิ่งนั้นๆ เช่น
- I’m sorry to keep you waiting so long.
ขอโทษที่ปล่อยให้รอนาน - Rotate the two objects and keep them moving.
หมุนของสองสิ่งนี้แล้วปล่อยให้มันเคลื่อนไหวอยู่อย่างนั้น
—-keep + adj/adv./prep.—- keep ในความหมายนี้หมายถึง ให้คงอยู่ในสภาพนั้นๆปล่อยให้เป็นอยู่อย่างนั้น เช่น
- Don’t be mad! You have to keep calm.
อย่าโกรธเลยนะ คุณต้องใจเย็นๆไว้ - It’s so noisy. Keep quiet!!
เสียงดังมากเลย เงียบๆกันหน่อย
ในโครงสร้างนี้เราอาจจะใส่ คนหรือสิ่งของ หลัง keep ก็ได้ เช่น
- She kept her children amused for hours.
เธอปล่อยให้ลูกๆสนุกอยู่เป็นชั่วโมงๆ
—-keep to something—- หมายถึง อยู่กับสิ่งนั้น ไม่หลุดออกจากสิ่งนั้น เช่น
- We have wasted a lot of time. Please keep to the point.
เราเสียเวลามากกันมากแล้ว กรุณาพูดให้ตรงประเด็นด้วยค่ะ - Keep to the track! The land is very boggy around here.
อย่าออกนอกเส้นทาง ดินตรงนั้นมันเป็นโคลน
—-keep + someone—- ในความหมายนี้คือ การทำให้ใครบางคนช้า เรามักใช้ในรูปประโยคว่า
- What kept you so long?
ถ้าแปลตรงตัวก็จะแปลว่า อะไรทำให้คุณหายไปนานขนาดนี้
มีหลายความหมายจริงๆค่ะ สำหรับคำว่า keep นี่ยังไม่นับรวมสำนวนที่มี keep ไปเกี่ยวข้องอีกนะคะ แต่เท่าที่อธิบายไปก็น่าจะทำให้เราเข้าใจความเป็น keep ได้มากขึ้นแล้วค่ะ ^^

✅Ingredients
APPLE FILLING:
• 3 pounds granny smith apples, peeled, cored, and sliced thin
• 1/4 cup lemon juice
• 2 tablespoons cornstarch
• 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
• 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
• 1/2 cup caramel topping
CRISP TOPPING:
• 1/3 cup allpurpose flour
• 1/3 cup brown sugar
• 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
• 1/3 cup softened salted butter
• 1/2 cup rolled oats
• Vanilla ice cream and caramel topping for serving
✅Instructions
00:00:14 Peel, core and slice apples
1️⃣ Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and lightly grease a 9×9 pan.
2️⃣ 00:00:42 In a large bowl, toss together apples, lemon juice, cornstarch, cinnamon, nutmeg, and caramel topping until well combined. Transfer to prepared pan and spread out evenly.
3️⃣ 00:01:24 In another mixing bowl make the crisp topping. Use a fork to stir together flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Use the fork to mash in the butter until you have a crumbly mixture. Stir in rolled oats.
4️⃣ 00:02:10 Spread crisp topping out into an even layer over the apples.
5️⃣ 00:02:18 Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes until apples are tender and crisp is lightly browned.
6️⃣ 00:02:30 Serve warm with vanilla ice cream and caramel topping.
