Preposition : For แปลว่า สำหรับ
To : ส่วนใหญ่มักจะตามด้วย VERB เช่น to walk, to run
สามารถใช้ได้ ใน 6 อย่าง คือ
1. Destination พูดถึงจุดหมายปลายทาง
2. What time is it ใช้เมื่อพูดถึงเวลา
3. Distance ระยะทาง
4. Comparing การเปรียบเทียบ
5. Giving การให้
6. Reason with Verb เหตุผล และจะตามด้วย Verb
For : มักจะตามด้วย NOUN หรือ Verb ที่เติม ing
สามารถใช้ได้ ใน 4 อย่าง คือ
1. Benefits พูดถึงประโยชน์
2. Period of time ช่วงเวลา (มักใช้กับ perfect tense)
3. Motive / Reason with Noun เหตุผล และจะตามด้วย Noun
4. Doing something to help someone ทำบางอย่างให้อีกคนนึง
