Wow! I still find videos like this on YouTube. After being posted for 9 years. It just proved me that learning is a continuous process.
HE IS A LEGEND
Watching in 2020!! You are the best!
Are there any differences between the "long time" (when we use simple) and "short time" (when we use continuous form) ? When I have to use simple or continuous form for a long/short time? How do you define the "short" and "long time?"
He have done this video in 2009 and i am watching it now, in 2020. Good.
This video has too many errors to count. I wanted to recommend it to a student but I can't even begin to enumerate the errors. The intention is good, but unfortunately you trip yourself into many generalizations that simply aren't true.
Really, teacher, you're amazing, thank you.

Guys, why did he use Present Perfect Continuous when he was answearing that question? Why didn't he use Past Continuous? The activity has finished in the past and don't have any relation with present. I really get embarassed every time I see such a strange usage of some tense. It looks like natives use tenses in according to their mood, not to the rules in the books… Gee… How we're supposed to learn English if information is different from one source to another.
I like all your videos they are very useful for us, great job.
