DIRECTIONS: Read each sentence below. If the parentheses are being used correctly, write “CORRECT.” If the parentheses are being used incorrectly, write “INCORRECT.”
1. Chapter Four (pages 123 to 156) is really long.
2. Dave moved here from Chicago (Illinois).
3. The Civil War (1861 to 1865) was very bloody.
4. Jerry Jones (1882 to 1933) was a great leader.
5. I always knew his favorite color was (red).
6. The temperature was out of control (120 degrees.)
7. The Learning Style Chart on (page 227) is very interesting.
8. Herby Henry Holly (HHH) is a very funny comedian.
9. (Ohio State University) OSU is a great school.
10. Many grocery stores (Meijer, Walmart, etc.) are changing their layout.
