กระนั้นก็ดี คนจำนวนมากยังคงกังวลในประเด็นที่ว่า การควบรวมกิจการครั้งนี้อาจจะนำไปสู่การผูกขาดหรือไม่ โดยเฉพาะการที่สังเวียนการแข่งขันมีผู้เล่นในฝั่งเอกชนลดลงจาก 3 ราย เหลือเพียง 2 ราย
