In this video we’re going to look deeply into the difference between going to and will. Many people get confused by will and going to and can’t understand the difference. According to English grammar, Will represents the future simple tense, and be going to, grammatically speaking, is present progressive (or present continuous). There are many rules of the usage of will and going to. But most of them are not very clear. In this video, I’m going to give you very clear and simple explanation of the difference between will and going to with lots of easy to remember examples. This video is good for both ESL students who want to understand the difference between going to and will and ESL teachers who want to explain the difference between going to and will to their students. It’s also good for anyone who wants to understand how to use simple future tense in English language.

Title: Imagine the future world (Imagine unrealistic events)
John: There’s too much traffic. I wish a flying car exists now!
Roy: I’m sure there will be flying cars in the near future.
John: Oh really? Then will a swimming car be invented too?
Roy: Duh~ A driverless car is already invented, why not a swimming car?
John: No way! That’s something I’ve been dreaming of!
Roy: Our dream is turning into the reality. It will be so much different in the future.
John: I agree. I think future robots will take most places in our lives.
Roy: A doctor robot for surgery, a Humanoid for copying human’s actions, a drone making deliveries, and these kinds of robots are already being developed.
John: I think, in the future, humans will discover the planets and start to live with aliens!
Roy: Oh, do you really think there’s an alien?
John: Of course! I’ve always been dreaming about meeting an alien!
Roy: You might be meeting them in the near future.
