Why do immigrants leave Canada after spending so much time and resources on getting PR card and Canadian citizenship? Immigration is a challenging process which requires a level of cultural, personal, and professional adaptation. Some newcomers are able to persevere and adapt, but some never find a job or friends, feel lonely, and struggle understanding the tax and healthcare system. Some immigrants from tropical countries also struggle with Canadian climate.
Please do your thorough research when deciding on whether or not to move to Canada. Consult different sources and seek different opinions before you form yours!

Calgary vs Vancouver | Choosing the BEST city to live in Canada | Moving to Canada
Vancouver or Calgary? Moving to Canada or even within Canada to another city is a lifechanging decision. If you’re not sure yet on which city to choose for your new residence, and Vancouver or Calgary are in your prime choices, this video is right for you.
The best province to live in Canada is a topic that is always up for debate, especially if you are just starting to move to Canada. With Canada being a vast country with plenty of opportunities for visitors, newcomers, immigrants and even oldtimers, choosing which province to move to in Canada can sometimes be tricky as well as challenging.
Sometimes, the discussion dissolves into the best city to live in Canada as different cities like Ontario, Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, and Calgary can offer something vastly different from the rest of their respective provinces.
The topic of Calgary vs Vancouver comes around often because the two cities can be pretty similar even though they have stark differences.
This video compares the two to aid you in your decision between Vancouver in British Columbia and Calgary in the province of Alberta.
Jasben Lai, a Realtor from the LiveInnerCity real estate team, breaks down the following categories: the location in terms of geography, landscape, nature, the weather conditions between Calgary and Vancouver, the current state of the job market between the two cities, and education.
Also included in Jasben’s comparison is the state of the food, entertainment, and culture, a popular topic. Lastly, he also dabbles in the current housing market, talking about real estate prices in both Vancouver and Calgary and drawing a direct comparison. Also, the rental market is discussed and the cost of living in Vancouver as well as the cost of living in Calgary.
Living in Vancouver and Calgary often means talking more than just about the cost of living but also about the job market, life and of course, real estate.
Vancouver is the largest city in British Columbia here in Canada, where many people often come to live, travel and work. It is a stunning and multicultural city located in Western Canada. With mountains to the north, the Pacific Ocean to the west, the famous and enormous Stanley Park right in their downtown, Vancouver is easily the most beautiful city in Canada. Even though Victoria on Vancouver Island is the capital of the British Columbia province, Vancouver is its central hub. Its downtown area is located at the very end of British Columbia’s ‘Lower Mainland’. To its east are neighbouring cities like Burnaby, Surrey, Abbotsford, etc.
In addition to all the natural wonders of living in British Columbia, particularly in Vancouver, this city also offers ease of accessibility to cities in the United States like Seattle and Washington State.
Calgary, one of Alberta’s main cities, is nicknamed “cowtown” for its Western influences. Even though it is not Alberta’s capital, Calgary is Alberta’s most populous city and is widely considered the central hub by most people. Calgary, Alberta, is home to the famous Calgary Stampede. It is a weeklong festival featuring rodeo events, concerts, special activities and tons of exhibitions. With over a million visitors yearly heading over to Calgary, Alberta, to celebrate its farming
Even though Vancouver City and Calgary City are lovely and offer their own strengths and weaknesses, it’s still important to hear about how they differ from each other to help you decide which city is the best place to live in Canada for you.
Jasben Lai, a Realtor based in Calgary, Alberta, was born and raised in Vancouver before moving to Calgary 21 years ago, which gives him the experience having lived in both cities extensively.
This is LiveInnerCity’s Calgary vs Vancouver Choosing the BEST city to live in Canada Moving to Canada 1.
