Today’s talk of the town is the Colourpop Hocus Pocus Eyeshadow Palette and the concept of this palette is SO GOOD but as I discuss briefly in the video, the execution leaves much to be desired tbh. What is that artwork? Why won’t Colourpop stop putting pressed glitters in their palettes? Do they need to use up huge industrial vats of glitter so they’ll force these in until they run out? It feels like something is missing. A light/mid toned mustard? A vibrant red? A light yellow? A dusty rose? A nightsky blue? Literally anything except the cream matte or a beige they included?
Ok complaints aside, the color story is mostly interesting even if it’s not perfectly on theme, and I like all of the Colourpop shades that match the Hocus Pocus shades to make my bootleg version of the palette! ALSO I challenged myself to use all Colourpop shades to make my own palette! (minus one Alter Ego eyeshadow) This was fun for me to make this thing to give me new color combinations to play with like red + purple in today’s eyeshadow look.
