1. subject+verb (ประธาน+กริยา)
2. subject+verb+object (ประธาน+กริยา+กรรม)
3. subject+verb+indirect object+direct object (ประธาน+กริยา+กรรมรอง+ กรรมตรง)
4. subject + verb + subjective complement (ประธาน+กริยา+ส่วนสัมพันธ์กับประธาน)
5. subject + verb + object + objective complement (ประธาน+กริยา+กรรม+ส่วนสัมพันธ์กับกรรม)
6. adverb + verb + subject (กริยาวิเศษณ์+กริยา+ประธาน)
ประโยคแบบที่ 1 นั้นต้องเป็น อกรรมกริยา (intransitive verb) แน่นอน เช่น I ran (ฉันวิ่ง), She comes (หล่อนมา), The boy swims (เด็กว่ายน้ำ) ซึ่งจะแบ่งรูปประโยคได้ดังนี้
ภาคประธาน (Subject) ภาคแสดง (Predicate)
I ran
She comes
The boy swims
โครงสร้างประโยคที่ 2
Subject + verb + object หรือ ประธาน+กริยา+กรรม
ประโยคจะประกอบด้วยเพียงคำ 3 คำ ซึ่งแสดงว่า คำกริยา (verb) ในโครงสร้างประโยคนี้เป็น สกรรมกริยา
(Transitive verb) เช่น
The boy hit the dog. (เด็กตีหมา)
The dog bit him. (หมากัดเขา)
He wants to help her. (เขาต้องการช่วยเธอ)
She enjoys learning English. (หล่อนสนุกกับการเรียนภาษาอังกฤษ)
I know that she will come here. (ฉันรู้ว่าหล่อนจะมาที่นี้)
ซึ่งจะแบ่งรูปประโยคได้ดังนี้
ภาคประธาน (Subject) ภาคแสดง (Predicate)
กริยา (Verb) กรรม (Object)
The Boy hit the dog.
The dog bit him.
He wants to help her.
She enjoys learning English.
I know that she will come here.
หมายเหตุ 1. ให้สังเกตกรรม (object) ซึ่งมีรูปต่าง ๆ กัน สิ่งที่จะเป็นกรรม (object) ของประโยคได้มี 2 ชนิด
เท่านั้น คือ
1. คำนาม (Nouns)
2. คำนามเที่ยบเท่า (Noun Equivalents) ซึ่งแบ่งออกเป็น ๓ ชนิด คือ
2.1 คำสรรพนาม (Pronouns)
2.2 วลีนาม (Noun Phrases) มี 2 รูป
2.2.1 Infinitive Phrase เช่น He wants to help her. To learn English is good.
2.2.2 Gerundial Phrase เช่น He enjoys learning English. Swimming every day makes me healthy.
2.3 นามานุประโยค (Noun Clause) คือ Clause ที่ทำงานอย่างคำนาม มักจะนำด้วย question words
ต่างๆ หรือนำด้วย conjunction “if, whether…..(or not), that เช่น Whatever will be will be. I don’t care whatever will be. What you want is what I want. Everything depends on what you told me yesterday.

สำหรับโครงสร้างประโยคที่ 3 นี้ ใช้กับคำกริยา (verb) ต่อไปนี้เท่านั้น คือ buy, bring, hand, pass, leave, lend, pay, read, sell, send, show, tell, write, repair, fix, give
ตัวอย่างเช่น
My father bought me a car. (พ่อของฉันซื้อรถให้ฉัน)
We show her our pictures. (เราให้เธอดูรูปของเรา)
She writes her friend a letter. (หล่อนเขียนจดหมายไปหาเพื่อนของหล่อน)
He gave his dog some food. (เขาให้อาหารกับหมาของเขา)
ซึ่งจะแบ่งรูปประโยตได้ดังนี้
ภาคประธาน (Subject) ภาคแสดง (Predicate)
กริยา (Verb) กรรมรอง (Indirect Object) กรรมตรง (Direct Object)
My father bought me a car.
We show her our picture.
She writes her friend a letter.
He gave his dog some food.
หมายเหตุ โครงสร้างประโยคที่ 3 นี้ สามารถเขียนได้อีกแบบหนึ่ง ซึ่งยังมีความหมายเหมือนเดิม ดังนี้
My father bought a car for me.
We show our pictures to her.
She writes a letter to her friend.
He gave some food to his dog.
My father bought a car for me.
Verb to BE (BE Equivalents) ได้แก่ appear, become, seem, feel, smell, taste, continue, sound หรือตามหลัง
คำกริยาปรกติ (Full verbs) ที่ใช้ในลักษณะคำกริยา เทียบเท่า Verb to BE เช่น break (He broke loose); come (His dreams come true); fall (He falls ill); fly (The door flew open); get (I got well); grow (He grew old); keep (It kept well); look (You look pale); prove (It proves true); remain (He remains calm); run (it ran dry); stay (It stays clean); turn (The milk turns sour); wear (Cloth wears thin); work (The screw worked loose).
การที่เรียกคำกริยาต่าง ๆ ข้างต้นว่า BE Equivalents นั้น เพราะคำกริยาเหล่านั้นสามารถแทน ด้วย verb to BE ได้ในความหมายเดียวกัน เช่น
He looks pale. = He is pale.
His dreams came true. = His dreams were true.
She stays here. = She is here.
He remains calm. = He was calm.
My brother becomes a monk. = My brother is a monk.
และการที่เรียกคำหรือกลุ่มคำที่ตามหลัง Verb to BE หรือ BE Equivalents ว่า Subjective Complement นั้น เพราะ Complement ดังกล่าวจะเป็นส่วนเดียวกันหรือสัมพันธ์กับส่วนประธาน (Subject) เสมอ เช่น
Mr. Smith is a dentist. (นายสมิทเป็นหมอฟัน)
It was you. (เป็นคุณ)
This milk tastes sour. (นมนี้เปรี้ยว)
She stays here. (หล่อนอยู่ที่นี้)
The soldier was fighting bravely. (ทหารได้ต่อสู้อย่างกล้าหาญ)
He seemed to fall down. (เขาดูเหมือนจะล้ม)
The book is in two parts. (หนังสือมีอยู่สองภาค)
That is what I want. (นั่นคือสิ่งที่ฉันต้องการ)
ซึ่งแบ่งรูปประโยคได้ด้งนี้
ภาคประธาน (Subject) ภาคแสดง (Predicate)
กริยา (Verb) ส่วนขยายประธาน (Subjective Complement)
Mr. Smith is a dentist.
It was you.
This milk tastes sour.
She stays here.
The soldier was fighting bravely.
He seemed to fall down.
The book is in two parts.
That is what I want.
หมายเหตุ Subjective Complement นั้นเป็นคำอะไรก็ได้ ซึ่งสามารถนำมาต่อท้าย verb to BE หรือ BE Equivalent ได้ ซึ่งแยกเป็นรูปร่างต่าง ๆ ได้ 8 ชนิด ดังนี้ 1. Noun, 2. Pronoun, 3. Adjective, 4. Adverb 5. Present Participle or Gerund, 6 Infinitive, 7.Prepositional Phrase 8. Noun Clause. แต่อย่างไรก็ดี Subject Complement ส่วน ใหญ่จะเป็นคำ Adjectives.

โครงสร้างประโยคที่ 5
subject+verb+object+objective complement ประธาน+กริยา+กรรม+ส่วนขยายกรรม
Complement หรือส่วนสมบูรณ์ของประโยคแบ่งออกเป็น 2 แบบ คือ 1. Subjective Complement (ดูโครงสร้างประโยคที่ 4) 2. Objective Complement (ส่วนสมบูรณ์ของภาคกรรม) จะเป็นส่วนเดียวกัน หรือสัมพันธ์กับภาคกรรม
เช่น
He keeps me waiting for him. (เขาให้ฉันรอเขา)
The people elect him a representative. (ประชาชนเลือกเขาเป็นตัวแทน)
My mother asked me to study hard. (แม่ของฉันบอกให้ฉันเรียนหนัก)
The jury found the prisoner guilty. (ผู้พิพากษาตัดสินนักโทษว่าผิด)
His treats filled her with terror. (การล้อเล่นของเขาทำให้เธอกลัว)
You have made me what I am. (คุณทำให้ฉันเป็นอย่างที่ฉันเป็น)
ภาคประธาน ภาคแสดง
กริยา กรรม ส่วนสมบูรณ์
The people elect him a representative.
My mother asked me to study hard.
The jury found the prisoner guilty.
His treats filled her with terror.
You have made me what I am.
He keeps me waiting for him.
หมายเหตุ
1. Objective Complement จะเป็นส่วนเดียวกันหรือสัมพันธ์กับภาคกรรม
2. เป็นคำหรือกลุ่มคำอะไรก็ได้ ซึ่งพอสรุปได้ว่าส่วนใหญ่จะเป็น Noun, Noun Phrase, Adjective, Noun Clause
3. คำกริยา (verbs) ที่สามารถนำมาสร้างประโยคตามโครงสร้างพื้นฐาน 5 ได้มักจะเป็น คำกริยาต่อไปนี้ call, make, crown, appoint, found, baptize, choose, elect, entitle, nominate, set, proclaim, ask, let, do keep.

โครงสร้างประโยคที่ 6
Adverb+Verb+Subject กริยาวิเศษณ์+กริยา+ประธาน
โครงสร้างประโยคแบบที่ 6 นี้ มักจะพบมากในภาษาเขียน (Written English) เพราะเป็น โครงสร้างที่เน้นความ
(Emphatic Meaning) เช่น
Seldom were the train on time. (รถไฟมาตรงเวลาไม่บ่อยนัก)
There goes Charlie. (ชาร์ลี เอาอีกแล้ว)
Here is Sam. (แซมอยู่ที่นี้)
Up jumped the lion. (สิงโตกระโดด)
Near the bush lay a big tiger. (เสือนอนอยู่ใกล้พุ่มไม้)
ซึ่งแยกรูปประโยคได้ดังนี้
ภาคแสดง (Predicate) ภาคประธาน
กริยาวิเศษณ์ (Adverb) กริยา (Verb) (Subject)
Seldom, on time were the train.
There goes Charlie.
Here is Sam.
Up jumped the lion.
Near the bush lay a big tiger.
หมายเหตุ
1. โครงสร้างประโยคที่ 6 ส่วนใหญ่จะใช้กับคำ There และ Here + Helping verbs
2. บางครั้ง Here และ There ยังนำไปใช้กับคำกริยา go และ come
3. นอกจาก Here และ There แล้ว Adverb of Frequency ยังนำมาใช้กับ โครงสร้างประโยค แบบนี้ด้วย
4. รูป Adverb ที่นำมาใช้กับโครงสร้างประโยคแบบที่ 6 นี้ อาจเป็นคำคำเดียว (Single Adverb) หรือกลุ่มคำที่ทำหน้าที่ Adverb (Word group Adverb) ก็ได้

[Update] Project Beneficiaries | direct and indirect object คือ – NATAVIGUIDES

When you write an proposal for project funding, you always have to explain who the project beneficiaries are. But what exactly does this mean? And why does your donor want to know this? In this article, we explain all you need to know about beneficiaries.

The project beneficiaries also called the target group or the target beneficiaries of your project, are those who will benefit from your project. They are the people whose circumstances you want to change by implementing your idea. They can be affected directly or indirectly by the project.

While beneficiaries are not typically listed in an overview part of the proposal, information about the beneficiaries is actually very important in your proposal. This is because helping beneficiaries is the number one reason donors are willing to give money. Information about and references to beneficiaries should be dispersed throughout the entire proposal. This helps the donor to understand your project, see the importance you place on helping others, connect emotionally with the project and people, and finally decide if they support your plan. For these reasons, you should explain not only the number of beneficiaries you serve but also who they are and what challenges they face. In particular, you should directly state if your target group includes vulnerable groups of people, i.e. children, women, minorities, etc.

Why is the number of project beneficiaries so important to donors?

Often, donors think of their grants as investments of some sort. They give money to NGOs to see some impact and they want their partners to work towards their own mission. The more people that can be benefited with a certain amount of money, the better. Often, one of the first things evaluators do is to divide the grant amount by the number of beneficiaries – this way they can see which of the proposals would be the most effective. Of course, this is not the only measure they look at, but it is an important one.

Donors want to achieve impact, so the people you work with are very important to them. When you talk about beneficiaries, it is also a section where you can really show that you are an expert for the communities you want to work with. You can show that you know exactly what is going on and that you have inside knowledge about the project beneficiaries.

What is the Difference between Direct and Indirect Beneficiaries?

To accurately explain your project impact, you need to consider everyone who may benefit from the project. Here we explain the difference between those who benefit directly and indirectly.

A direct beneficiary, sometimes called a primary beneficiary, is someone who is directly involved with your project and benefits from it. Depending on your project this could be people who participated in your training, students of the school you built, or women who received livestock. The important thing is that the direct beneficiaries are connected with the project. Since they are so closely intertwined with the project, direct beneficiaries should be easy to count and describe.

An indirect beneficiary, sometimes called a secondary beneficiary, is someone who is not directly connected with the project, but will still benefit from it. This could be other members of the community or from the area or family members of the participants. Most projects are not planned around indirect beneficiaries, and so they are more difficult to describe precisely.

Here are some examples to make the distinction more clear:

  • Your project builds toilets for 20 individual households. The 20 families that receive toilets are the direct beneficiaries. The entire community is the indirect beneficiary, as the general hygienic conditions in the village improve.
  • 50 farmers learn how to grow trees in a soil erosion-prone area. These 50 farmers are the direct beneficiaries of the project. Communities living downhill are the indirect beneficiaries, as their fields and water supplies are also affected by erosion.
  • You give out sewing machines to 15 women and train them in sewing. These 15 women are the direct beneficiaries of your project. Their families are the indirect beneficiaries, as the extra income the women will earn will benefit them as well.

Is it important to have the correct numbers of project beneficiaries?

Often NGOs struggle to give an exact number of the project beneficiaries, specifically if you are looking for the number of indirect beneficiaries. So, they either do not give a specific number or spent way too much time trying to define this number. Of course, it is important to give an accurate number when talking about beneficiaries, but sometimes it needs to be a realistic estimate – in some cases, you just don’t have the chance to be 100% correct.

I.e. if you are working with women and want to include their families in the number of indirect beneficiaries, you can either count all family members (a lot of work) or just take the average family size for the region you work in. This way, you still get a number that is probably close to the truth, and you save a lot of time. Explain the way you got your results though and stay realistic. While it is important that your project benefits as many beneficiaries as possible for the donor to see that they will get a good return on investment, it is also important to stay realistic. If the RoI is too good to be true, donors will get suspicious and double-check everything.

Can beneficiaries only be people?

Most donors will say beneficiaries must be living people – plants, animals, or the land itself are not included.

The goal of some projects may be to conserve the rainforest, find homes for street dogs, preserve cultural heritage sites, remove plastic waste from oceans, save wild tigers, etc. It may seem like no humans benefit from these projects – in fact, some may appear to directly hinder human development. However, even in these projects, humans do benefit. This may be from preserving cultural ties to the land, increasing human health, and happiness, preserving an ecosystem and food chain that includes humans, building future research opportunities, increasing economic possibilities, etc. Just make sure the connection is clear in your proposal.

แกรมม่าพื้นฐานภาษาอังกฤษ EP5. Direct Object และ Indirect Object

Subject, direct object, and indirect object | Syntax | Khan Academy

A subject is the noun phrase that drives the action of a sentence; in the sentence “Jake ate cereal,” Jake is the subject. The direct object is the thing that the subject acts upon, so in that last sentence, “cereal” is the direct object; it’s the thing Jake ate. An indirect object is an optional part of a sentence; it’s the recipient of an action. In the sentence “Jake gave me some cereal,” the word “me” is the indirect object; I’m the person who got cereal from Jake.
