แบบที่1 จะใช้กับเหตุการที่เป็นจริง

ใช้พูดถึงถ้าสิ่งนี้เกิด ต้องเกิดอีกวิ่งเสมอ โดยใช้ present simple ในประโยคทั้งสอง

if + Present Simple , Present Simple (if + subject + V.1, subject = V.1)

ตัวอย่าง

ฉันไม่สามารถดื่มแอลกอฮอล์ ถ้าฉันต้องขับรถ

แบบที่ 2 ใช้กำบเหตุการณ์ที่เป็นเหตุและผลของกันและกัน

If + present simple, .. will + infinitive ( If + subject + V.1, subject + will/be going to + V.1 )

ถ้ามีเงินพอ ฉันจะซื้อรถใหม่

แบบที่ 3 ใช้กับเหตุการณ์สมมุติ หรือไฝ่ฝันว่าอยากให้เกิดขึ้นในอนาคต

If + past simple, .. would + infinitive (If + subject + V.2, Subject + would + V.1)

ตัวอย่าง

If i were you, I wouldn’t go out with man.
ถ้าฉันเป็นคุณ ฉันจะไม่ไปเที่ยวกับเขา

If i won the lottery, I would travel around the world.

แบบที่ 4 สมมุคิเหตุการณ์ในอดีตที่ไม่ได้เกิดขึ้นจริง

If + past perfect, … would have + part participle (If + subject + had + V.3, subject + would + have + V.3)

ตัวอย่าง

ถ้าคุณขยันมากกว่านี้ คุณก็น่าจะสอบผ่าน
