Another นั้นมาจาก an + other พจน์ของมันจึงเป็นเอกพจน์ค่ะ
Other
= อื่นๆ อีกหลายอัน เราจะใช้ other + คำนามนับได้พหูพจน์
ทั้ง 2 คำ เป็นคำคุณศัพท์ (ADJ) ทั้งคู่ค่ะ และใช้ขยายคำนาม ซึ่งข้อสอบมักจะวัดจากการใช้คำว่าเราเลือกใช้ถูกหรือไม่ค่ะ

โจทย์ข้อ 1 เนื้อความบอกแล้วมามีผู้แทนขาย 2 คน เมื่อพูดถึงไปแล้ว 1 คน เหลืออีก 1 คน จึงต้องเป็นคำว่า another ค่ะ
- โจทย์ข้อ 2 ข้อนี้เป็นสำนวนนะคะ ผู้ที่จะสอบ TOEIC ควรหมั่นจำสำนวนที่ใช้ในการสื่อสารไว้ด้วย และ สำนวนในข้อ 2 ที่ว่า “one after another” แปลว่า ทีละคน ค่ะ
ข้อนี้เป็นสำนวนนะคะ ผู้ที่จะสอบควรหมั่นจำสำนวนที่ใช้ในการสื่อสารไว้ด้วย และ สำนวนในข้อ 2 ที่ว่า “one after another” แปลว่า ทีละคน ค่ะ

โจทย์ข้อ 3 ข้อนี้จะดูว่าเราเลือกคำตอบได้ถูกหลักไวยากรณ์หรือไม่ค่ะ ซึ่งโจทย์เว้นที่ว่างหน้าคำว่า minerals ซึ่งเป็นคำนามนับได้พหูพจน์มาให้ และให้เลือกคำตอบจากตัวเลือก และ แน่นอน เราก็ต้องเลือก other ค่ะ เพื่อที่จะบอกว่า other minerals แร่ธาตุอื่นๆ

โจทย์ข้อ 4 ก็คล้ายกับข้อ 3 ค่ะ ดูการเลือกใช้คำของเรา เราก็สังเกตจาก shoes ซึ่งเป็นคำนามพหูพจน์ ในเรื่องนี้ต้องระวังให้ดีนะคะ คนไทยหลายคนชอบมองว่ารองเท้า 1 คู่ น่าจะเป็นเอกพจน์ แต่อย่าลืมค่ะ ว่ารองเท้ามี 2 ข้าง ถ้าใส่หน่วยมาเช่น a pair of shoes = รองเท้า 1 คู่ จึงจะนับเป็นเอกพจน์
