How to Deliver an Invoice \u0026 Create a Sales Order For Your Next Delivery – Route Delivery Software

Learn how to deliver an invoice to a customer and create a sales order for next week’s delivery on our Route Delivery Software for QuickBooks. Here is the step by step process on the delivery process from the software.
1. First, will need to sync your device. The sync will download the route and all deliveries for today.
2. Second, you will want to select the customer who you will be delivering to.
3. When you clock in to the customer, you will see the sales order that was created for the customer before the visit. At which point you can modify the sales order if the customer refuses the product or if something was keyed in wrong.
4. When you have double checked that the order is done, it is time to finalize it and convert it to an invoice. To begin the finalization process, check mark the order and tap finalize. From here the software will ask if you’d like to collect proof of delivery. Secondly, if the customer is a COD account, the system will ask if you’d like to collect the payment.
5. Once the signature and payment have been collected it is time to print the finalized invoice, which will indicate the product that will be delivered.
6. After the product has been delivered and the invoice has been finalized, you are able to clock out of the invoicing process and generate a sales order for the next deliver.
7. To create the sales order for the next delivery go to the menu button, and select sales order. From here you will get an order template with all of the product that the customer normally orders from you. At this point, you will be able to fill out the quantities and complete the order. When the order has been completed, tap send order and it will be transmitted to the back office.
8. Once the order makes it to the back office, it can be printed to be picked and packed. Then it will be routed back to the handheld to be delivered at a future date.
