Present perfect is unfinished time (this week, this year, since 1967, etc). Past simple is finished time (last week, last year, in 1967). You cannot say, for example, "I have read 3 books last week" You would need to say: "I read three books last week". This means that you are concentrating on a completed action in the past. If you say: "I have read 3 books this week" what you are saying is that the result (right now) is three books completed, but it is possible to read more because the time period you are referring to is 'this week' – it's not finished yet! So I could read more books if I wanted to. Kill me now 😀

What is the difference between "have gone" and "have been"? i think we use "have gone" when you're at the place you speak about(i have gone to Italy,so now i'm in Italy) and "have been" when you have visited this place and now you're back,am i right?

I have a question for anyone thats british.
Why do you pronounce aluminum like “Ale-loo-min-ee-um” which is like adding another i after the n. Why not pronounce it like its spelled?
