แน่นอนว่าเมื่อมีการแข่งขันแล้ว ครูทุกคนย่อมค้นหาประโยคง่ายๆเพื่อประกอบการใช้คำศัพท์
วันนี้ครูตุ้มขอเสนอคำศัพท์ง่ายๆที่เขียนไว้เพื่อใช้ในการฝึกนักเรียนมาแบ่งปัน อาจจะเป็นเนื้อหา
หรือประโยคง่ายๆ แต่บางครั้งก็มีการนำเสนอประโยคที่ผิดไวยากรณ์บ้าง ดังนั้น คุณครูหรือ
ผู้รู้สามารถให้คำแนะนำได้นะคะ

ใน present simple tense คำกริยาจะมี 2 รูปคือเอกพจน์และพหูพจน์ ซึ่งรูปเอกพจน์นั้นจะเป็นรูปที่ต้องเติม s/es ท้ายคำกริยา อย่างเช่น eats, walks, goes

อย่างไรก็ตาม การเติม s/es หลังคำกริยา ก็จะมีความต่างกันอยู่ โดยที่บางคำนั้นจะต้องเติม s ส่วนบางคำจะต้องเติม es และบางคำก็มีรูปเอกพจน์ที่ต่างจากพหูพจน์โดยสิ้นเชิง

สำหรับคนที่ยังไม่แม่นเรื่องการเติม s/es ท้ายคำกริยา ในบทความนี้ ชิววี่ก็ได้เรียบเรียงหลักการมาให้ได้เรียนรู้กันแบบง่ายๆแล้ว เอาล่ะ ถ้าเพื่อนๆพร้อมแล้ว เราไปดูกันเลย

ทบทวนความรู้
คำกริยารูปเอกพจน์ได้แก่ is, does, has, คำกริยารูปที่เติม s/es
คำกริยารูปพหูพจน์ได้แก่ are, do, have, คำกริยารูปที่ไม่ได้เติม s/es
ใน present simple tense เราจะใช้คำกริยารูปเอกพจน์ กับคำนามเอกพจน์ เช่น Tim walks to school every day. และจะใช้คำกริยารูปพหูพจน์ กับคำนามพหูพจน์ เช่น My friends walk to school every day.

ข้อควรระวัง
อย่าสับสนระหว่างพจน์ของคำนามและพจน์ของคำกริยา
คำนามเอกพจน์ คือคำนามที่ไม่ได้เติม s/es อย่างเช่น student, cat, table
คำนามพหูพจน์ คือคำนามที่เติม s/es อย่างเช่น students, cats, tables
ในทางกลับกัน
คำกริยาเอกพจน์ คือคำกริยาที่เติม s/es อย่างเช่น eats, walks, goes
คำกริยาพหูพจน์ คือคำกริยาที่ไม่ได้เติม s/es อย่างเช่น eat, walk, go
เวลาใช้ เราจะต้องใช้คำนามเอกพจน์กับคำกริยาเอกพจน์ และใช้คำนามพหูพจน์กับคำกริยาพหูพจน์
หรือถ้าจะจำแบบง่ายๆก็คือ เราจะเติม s/es คำนามและคำกริยาสลับกัน ถ้าคำนามเติม s/es คำกริยาก็ไม่ต้องเติม แต่ถ้าคำนามไม่ได้เติม s/es คำกริยาก็จะต้องเติมแทน ยกตัวอย่างเช่น
My cat eats very fast. (แมวของฉันกินเร็วมาก)
My cats eat very fast. (บรรดาแมวๆของฉันนั้นกินเร็วมาก)
(จริงๆแล้ว คำนามพหูพจน์บางคำก็ไม่ได้ลงท้ายด้วย s/es หลักการนี้ใช้เพื่อให้จำได้ง่ายเท่านั้น)

หลักการเติม s และ es หลังคำกริยา

การใช้คำกริยารูปเอกพจน์ เราจะต้องเติม s หรือ es หลังคำกริยา ซึ่งจะมีหลักการทั้งหมด 5 ข้อดังนี้

1. คำกริยาส่วนใหญ่ให้เติม s ต่อท้ายได้เลย

คำกริยาส่วนใหญ่ เมื่อใช้เป็นรูปเอกพจน์ ให้เติม s ต่อท้ายได้เลย ยกตัวอย่างเช่น

เอกพจน์พหูพจน์ความหมายComesComeมาEatsEatกินLovesLoveรักRunsRunวิ่งWalksWalkเดิน

2. คำกริยาที่ลงท้ายด้วย ch, ss, sh, x หรือ zz ให้เติม es

คำกริยาที่ลงท้ายด้วย ch, ss, sh, x หรือ zz เมื่อใช้เป็นรูปเอกพจน์ ให้เติม es ต่อท้าย ยกตัวอย่างเช่น

เอกพจน์พหูพจน์ความหมายWatchesWatchดูKissesKissจูบWashesWashล้าง, ซักFixesFixซ่อม, ติดBuzzesBuzzร้องเสียงหึ่ง

3. คำกริยาที่ลงท้ายด้วย o ให้เติม es

คำกริยาที่ลงท้ายด้วย o เมื่อใช้เป็นรูปเอกพจน์ ให้เติม es ต่อท้าย ยกตัวอย่างเช่น

เอกพจน์พหูพจน์ความหมายDoesDoทำGoesGoไป

4. คำกริยาที่ลงท้ายด้วย y ให้เปลี่ยน y เป็น i แล้วค่อยเติม es

คำกริยาที่ลงท้ายด้วย y เมื่อใช้เป็นรูปเอกพจน์ ให้เปลี่ยน y เป็น i แล้วเติม es ต่อท้าย ยกตัวอย่างเช่น

เอกพจน์พหูพจน์ความหมายCriesCryร้องไห้FliesFlyบินHurriesHurryรีบเร่งStudiesStudyเรียนRepliesReplyตอบ

แต่ถ้าหน้า y เป็นสระ (a, e, i, o, u) ให้เติม s แทน es อย่างเช่น

เอกพจน์พหูพจน์ความหมายAnnoysAnnoyทำให้รำคาญBuysBuyซื้อEnjoysEnjoyเพลิดเพลิน, สนุกPaysPayจ่ายPlaysPlayเล่น

5. คำกริยาบางคำจะมีรูปเอกพจน์เฉพาะ

คำกริยาบางคำก็มีรูปเอกพจน์เฉพาะตัว ยกตัวอย่างเช่น

Beเป็น, อยู่, คือHasHaveมี
