Present Perfect Tense

Present Perfect Tense, sadece Türkler için değil diğer pek çok İngilizce öğrenen millet için kavraması zor bir zaman yapısıdır. Zor olmasının sebebi bu zaman kavramının diğer dillerde pek olmaması. Türkçede de tam karşılığı olmadığı için cümleye göre farklı şekillerde çevrilir.

Türkçe’de tam olarak bir karşılığı olmayan bu zaman ifadesi, yakın geçmiş zaman veya zamanı belli olmayan geçmiş zaman olarak ifade edilebilir.

Present Perfect Tense Olumlu Cümle Yapısı

Olumlu cümle yapısında fiile göre ‘have’ veya ‘has’ yardımcı fiilinden sonra ana fiilin üçüncü hali kullanılır. 3. Tekil şahıslarda ‘has’ kullanılırken, diğer öznelerle birlikte ‘have’ kullanılır.

Present Perfect Tense İle İlgili Olumlu Cümleler

• I have seen that movie many times. (Bu filmi defalarca izledim.)
• My daughter has learned how to read. (Kızım nasıl okunacağını öğrenmiş.)

Present Perfect Tense Olumsuz Cümle Yapısı

Olumsuz cümle yapısında ‘have – has’ yardımcı fiiline ‘not’ olumsuzluk eki getirilir ve ana fiilin üçüncü hali kullanılır.

Present Perfect Tense İle İlgili Olumsuz Cümleler

• Tom has not finished his homework. (Tom ödevini bitirmemiş.)
• They haven’t arrived at home. (Onlar eve ulaşmadılar.)

Present Perfect Tense Soru Cümlesi Yapısı

Soru cümlesi yapısında ‘have – has’ yardımcı fiili ve ana fiilin üçüncü hali kullanılır.

Present Perfect Tense İle İlgili Soru Cümlesi

• Have you ever met him? (Onunla hiç karşılaştın mı?)
• Has she  been to Mexico in the last year? (O, geçen yıl Meksika’da bulundu mu?)

Present Perfect Tense Zaman Zarfları

Present Perfect Tense ile kullanılan belirli zaman zarfları vardır. Bunlar;

Present Perfect Tense + Just; Kısa bir süre önce yapılmış işleri anlatır. Olumlu cümlelerde kullanılır.

• I have just eaten hamburger.  (Ben az önce hamburger yedim.)

Present Perfect Tense + Already; Bir işin zaten  yapılmış olduğunu gösterir.  Olumlu cümlede kullanılır.

• He has  already talked to her.  (Onunla zaten konuşmuştu.)

Present Perfect Tense + Yet; Henüz anlamı taşımaktadır. Olumsuz cümlelerde ve soru cümlelerinde kullanılır.

• She hasn’t been to Paris yet. (O, henüz Paris’te bulunmadı.)

Present Perfect Tense + Ever; Hiç anlamı taşır. Soru cümlelerinde ve olumlu cümlelerde kullanılır.

• Have you ever watched this movie? (Bu filmi hiç izledin mi?)

Present Perfect Tense + Never; Cümleyi  görünüş olarak olumlu fakat anlam olarak olumsuz yapar.

• I have never read this book. (O kitabı hiç okumadım.)

Present Perfect Tense + For; Cümleye belli bir süredir anlamı katar. İşin yapılma süresini bildirir.

• He has worked there for 3 months. (O, burada 3 aydır çalışıyormuş.)

Present Perfect Tense + Since; Cümleye –den beri anlamı katar. İşin başlama zamanını bildirir.

• I have been in Germany since 1996. (1996 yılından beri Almanya’dayım.)

Present Perfect Tense Kullanım Alanları

Geçmişte başlamış ve hala devam etmekte olan işleri anlatır. Bu zaman periyodu bütün hayatımızı kapsamaktadır. Hayatımız boyunca herhangi bir deneyimi yaşayıp yaşamadığımız bu zaman ifadesi  ile sorulur.

• I have lived in Istanbul for 2 years. (2 yıldır İstanbul’da yaşıyorum.)
• Have you ever gone to Singapore? (Hiç Singapur’a gittin mi?)

Geçmişte yapılmış olmasına rağmen etkisini hala devam ettiren işleri anlatır.

• My leg has been broken.  (Benim bacağım kırılmıştı.)
• I have forgotten her name.  (Onun adını unuttum.)

Şu andan önceki bir aktivitenin tekrarını vurgular.

• We have had three  tests so far. (Şimdiye kadar üç test yaptık.)
• I have met many people since I came here. (Buraya geldiğimden beri birçok insanla tanıştım.)

Geçmişte belirsiz bir zamanda yapılmış işleri anlatır.

• I have seen this film before. (Bu filmi daha önce izlemiştim.)
• She has read that book. (O, bu kitabı okumuş.)

Geçmişle bugün arasında bir köprü görevi sağlar.

• I have learned English since June.  (Haziran’dan beri İngilizce öğreniyorum.)
• She has known me for 10 years. (O, beni 10 yıldır tanıyor.)

NOT: Gone (to) ve been (to) arasında anlam farklılığı vardır. Kişi bir yere gittiyse ve hala oradaysa ‘gone’ kullanılır. Fakat kişi bir yere gidip geri geldiyse ‘been’ kullanılır.

• Susan has gone to Belgium. (Susan, Belçika’ya gitti ve hala orada.)
• Susan has been to Belgium. (Susan, Belçika’ya gitti ve geri geldi.)

NOT:

• They have : They’ve
• We have : We’ve
• He has : He’s
• She has : She’s
• It has : It’s
• You have : You’ve
• I have : I’ve

Önemli NOT:

He’s bazı durumlarda karışıklığa sebep olabilir. He’s’in açılımı He has ya da He is olabilir bu hususa dikkat etmekte fayda var. He’s’den sonra fiilin üçüncü hali geliyorsa Present Perfect kullanılmıştır. Bağlamdan çıkarabilirsiniz.

Örnek:

• He’s got a luxury house. (He has)
• He’s going on a tour. (He is)

Past Present ne gibi durumlarda kullanılır?

• Bitmemiş Eylemleri Anlatmak İçin

Present Perfect zaman yapısı geçmişte başlamış fakat henüz bitmemiş eylemleri, alışkanlıkları ve durumları anlatmak için kullanılır. Bu gibi cümlelerde genellikle ‘since’ ve ‘for’ bulunur.

Örnekler:

• I have known him since 1990.
• My elder brother has lived in New York for 14 years.

Bitmiş Eylemleri Anlatmak İçin:

Kişiler hayatında daha önceden deneyimlediği şeyleri anlatmak için bu zamanı kullanabilir.

• I have been to the Darıca Zoo.
• I have visited Greece twice.

Henüz bitmemiş bir zaman diliminde(bu ay, bu hafta, bugün) yapılan eylemleri anlatmak için kullanılır.

• I have not seen Professor Brown this week.
• My boss has drunk three cups of coffee today.

Sonuçları şimdi de görülebilen bitmiş eylemleri ifade etmek için

Yakın zamanda bitmiş fakat etkisi hala sürmekte olan olayları anlatmakta da bu zaman kipi kullanılır.

• My brother has lost his keys thus he is staying at my place tonight.
• I have missed the flight so I will not be able to go to Ankara.

Son zamanlarda olan bir olayı anlatmak için

Son zamanlarda olmuş fakat şimdi belirli sonuçları olmayan durumları ifade etmek için de bu zaman kullanılabilir.

• I have just seen Vivian.
• The president has given a speech.

Present perfect’in sıklıkla birlikte kullanıldığı zaman zarfları:

Present Perfect’in Kullanılamayacağı Durumlar

• I saw Nanny yesterday. (I have seen Nanny yesterday olamaz)
• She died four years ago. (She has died four years ago olamaz.)
• I was born in 1995. (I was born in 1995 olamaz.)
• My mother called me in the morning. (My mother called me in the morning olamaz.)

ÖZET

Present Perfect have yardımcı fiili ve asıl fiile eklenen –ed( ya da düzensiz) takısıyla elde edilir.

Olumlu Cümle: I have been to the USA.

Olumsuz Cümle: I have not been to the USA.

Soru Cümlesi: Have you been to the USA?

has/have + Fiilin Üçüncü Hali(Past participle)

Örnek:

Have seen, have gone, has drunk, has slept

Örnek:

• He has seen that movie three times.

Present perfect tense ile sıklıkla kullanılan zarflar; ever, never, already, still, yet, just ve before zarflarıdır.

Present Perfect’in Kullanılmadığı Durumlar Nelerdir?

Net tarif bildirimlerinde present perfect tense kullanılmaz. Örneğin; he died five years ago; burada he has died yapılamaz.

Present Perfect Tense Yapısı Nedir?

Present perfect tense yapısı kurulurken; has/have + Fiilin Üçüncü Hali(Past participle) olacak şekilde cümle yapısı kurulmalıdır.
