แปล: ในเวลาว่าง ฉันชอบวิ่งที่สวนสาธารณะใกล้บ้าน

***หรือ สามารถวาง In my free time/In my spare time
ไว้ด้านหลังประโยคก็ได้จร้า เช่นI hate listening to any gossips in my free time.
ฉันเกลียดการฟังเรื่องซุบซิบในเวลาว่างI dislike meeting with many people in my spare time.
ฉันไม่ชอบพบปะผู้คนมากมายในช่วงที่ฉันว่าง
Present Simple Tense ที่ใช้แนะนำตัวเอง
Present แปลว่า ปัจจุบัน ดังนั้น Present Simple Tense จึงเป็นประโยคที่มี โครงสร้างแบบง่าย ๆ ธรรมดา ที่พูดถึงเหตุการณ์ในปัจจุบัน (Present) นั่นเองค่า โดยมีลักษณะต่าง ๆ ดังนี้
ใช้เพื่อพูดถึงเหตุการณ์ ลักษณะนิสัย (Habits) เช่น
Jessy likes walking to school everyday.
แปล เจสซี่ชอบการเดินไปโรงเรียนทุกวัน
รูปประโยคของ Present Simple Tense
- ประโยคบอกเล่า
โครงสร้างของประโยคบอกเล่า : Subject + Verb.1 + Object + (คำบอกเวลา)
ทั้งนี้คำกริยาช่องที่ 1 นั้นจะมีการเติม s หรือ es ถ้าหากประธานของประโยคเป็นเอกพจน์ (He, She, It) แต่ถ้าประธานเป็น I, You หรือประธานพหูพจน์ (You (หลายคน), We, They) ให้คงรูปคำกริยานั้น ๆ ไว้เช่นเดิม เช่น
They enjoy playing online games.
แปล พวกเขาสนุกกับการเล่นเกมออนไลน์
**ประโยคนี้ประธานคือ They เป็นพหูพจน์ กริยาคือ enjoy จึงไม่ต้องเติม -s หรือ -es ที่ท้ายกริยา
ข้อสังเกต : หลักการเติม s,es นั้นง่ายนิดเดียว คือ คำกริยาที่ลงท้ายด้วย sh, ch, o, s, ss, x, z ให้เติม es
เมื่อประธานของประโยคเป็นเอกพจน์ (He, She, It, Tony) เช่น
Tony washes his motorbike every day.
โทนี่ล้างรถมอเตอร์ไซค์ของเขาทุกวันจะเห็นว่า ประธานของประโยคคือ Tony ซึ่งเป็นเอกพจน์ คำกริยาคือ wash ที่ลงท้ายด้วย sh จึงต้องเติม es ต่อท้าย
- ประโยคคำถาม
โครงสร้างของประโยคคำถามใน Present Simple Tense มีสองรูปแบบคือ
- แบบที่ 1 : Verb to be + Subject + Object/Complement + (คำบอกเวลา) ? เช่น
ประโยคบอกเล่า: She is my best friend.
ประโยคคำถาม: Is she your best friend?
แปล หล่อนเป็นเพื่อนที่ดีที่สุดของเธอเหรอ
- แบบที่2: การใช้ Wh-question กับ do/does เช่น
What do you like? หรือ What do you dislike? คุณชอบ หรือ ไม่ชอบอะไร
What does he/she like ? จะแปลว่า เขา หรือ เธอชอบอะไร
นักเรียนสามารถแต่งประโยคตามโครงสร้างง่ายๆได้ดังนี้ค่ะ Subject + like or dislike + V.ing. จะแปลว่า ฉัน หรือ ผม ชอบ หรือ ไม่ชอบ การ… อาจจะมีคนสงสัยว่า “V.ing” นี้หมายถึงอะไร ขอตอบเลยละกันว่า มันก็คือ Gerund นั่นเองค่ะ
เช่น
Jane likes buying a jean.
เจนชอบซื้อกางเกงยีนส์
โครงสร้างประโยคที่น่าสนใจนี้ได้แก่
หากจะบอกว่า ฉันรัก/ชอบอะไรสักอย่าง ให้ลองใช้โครงสร้างง่ายๆ ด้านล่างดูนะคะ
โครงสร้าง: I love/like/joy / prefer+ V.ing…
ตัวอย่าง
I love making cakes.
แปล: ฉันรักในการทำขนมเค้ก
I like playing a guitar in my free time.
แปล: ฉันชอบเล่นกีตาร์ยามว่าง
(เราสามารถวาง in my free time ไว้หลังประโยคก็ได้ค่ะ แต่ต้องใส่ คอมม่า (,) หลัง In my free time เช่น In my free time, I like playing a guitar.)
I enjoy feeding a cow.
แปล: ฉันชอบให้อาหารวัว
We prefer hiking to jogging.
แปล: พวกเราชอบไต่เขามากกว่าวิ่งจ้อกกิ้ง
การใช้ Prefer + V.ing + to + V.ing
Prefer เป็นคำกริยา มีความหมายว่า “ชอบมากกว่า”
โดยจะใช้ในการเปรียบเทียบสิ่งสองสิ่ง
คำกริยารูป –ing
ถ้าเราจะใช้คำกริยากับ prefer เราจะต้องใช้คำกริยารูป -ing (คำกริยารูป -ing สามารถทำหน้าที่เป็นคำนาม เราเรียกมันว่า gerund จร้า
เช่น
I prefer jogging to swimming.
แปล ฉันชอบการวิ่งมากกว่าการว่ายน้ำ
ทบทวน Gerund กันสักนิด
คำแปลของ Gerund เมื่อต้องแปลอังกฤษเป็นไทยในประโยค
หน้าที่ของ Gerund คือคำนาม เพราะฉะนั้นจะมีคำขึ้นต้นว่า การ…กริยา
เช่น walking จะแปลว่า การเดิน, swimming คือ การว่ายน้ำ, sleeping แปลว่า การนอน

แปล ฉันชื่นชอบการทำอาหาร
หรือสามารถแต่งประโยคใหม่ว่า Cooking is what I like to do. ซึ่งแปลว่า การทำอาหารเป็นสิ่งที่ฉัน หรือ ผมชื่นชอบ
ก่อนอื่น หากจะดูโครงสร้างประโยคให้ได้ จะต้องไปทบทวน Gerund กันสักนิดนะคะ
Gerund หรือ ing-form มีหลักการใช้ มีดังนี้
- Gerund ทำหน้าที่เป็นประธานของประโยค
Playing a football is a good sport.
= การเล่นฟุตบอลเป็นกีฬาที่ดี
- Gerund ทำหน้าที่เป็นกรรมของประโยค
Tony likes playing football with his friends.
= โทนี่ชอบเล่นฟุตบอลกับเพื่อนของเขา - Gerund ทำหน้าที่เป็นกรรมของบุพบท
A new chef is excited about moving to Australia next month.
= เซฟคนใหม่ตื่นเต้นกับการย้ายไปทำงานที่ออสเตรเลียอาทิตย์หน้า
Gerund ที่ตามหลัง like / dislike เกี่ยวกับงานอดิเรก
ในปัจจุบันงานอดิเรก (Hobbies) นอกจากจะเป็นสิ่งที่ทำให้เราสนุกแล้วยังสามารถเพิ่มพูนทักษะใหม่ๆ ให้เราได้อีกด้วย หากมีใครก็ตามถามว่า
