ความหมายของ is am are

• is am are + สถานที่ แปลว่า อยู่

หลักการใช้ is am are

Is Am Are ใช้ใน Tense ต่างๆ ซึ่งการจะแปลความหมายนั้นต้องพึงระวังนิดหนึ่ง เพราะบางทีมันเป็นแค่กริยาช่วย ซึ่งไม่ต้องแปลแต่อย่างใด มาดูหลักการนำไปใช้กันเลย

1. ใช้ใน Present Simple Tense   

• is am are แปลว่า เป็น อยู่ คือ  
• ประธาน+ is, am, are 

I am a student. ผมเป็นนักเรียน (student = นาม)
He is in the room. เขาอยู่ในห้อง (room = นาม)
We are tigers. พวกเราคือเสือ (tigers = นาม)

• แต่บางครั้ง is am are ไม่ต้องแปล  (ประธาน+ is, am, are, + คุณศัพท์) 

I am tall. ผมสูง (tall = คุณศัพท์)
She is short. หล่อน เตี้ย ( short= คุณศัพท์)
They are smart. พวกเขาเทห์ ( smart=คุณศัพท์)

2. ใช้ใน Present Continuous  (เรียนรู้เต็มๆในเรื่อง Present continuous)

• is am are อย่าแยกแปล ให้แปลควบกับคำกริยาที่เติม ing  แปลว่า กำลัง…
• ประธาน+ is, am, are  + กริยาเติม ing

I am eating. ผม กำลังกิน
He is running. เขา กำลังวิ่ง
We are swimming. พวกเรากำลังว่ายน้ำ

3. ใช้ใน Passive Voice ของ Present Simple Tense (บทเรียนขั้นสูง)   

• is am are อย่าแยกแปล ให้แปลควบกับคำ กริยาช่อง 3 แปลว่า ถูก…
• ประธาน+ is, am, are + กริยาช่อง 3

It is = It’s (อิท อิส = อิทส)
It is not = It’s not/ It isn’t (อิท อิส น็อท = อิทส น็อท / อิท อิสเซินท)

You are = You’re (ยู อา = ยัว)
You are not = You’re not / You aren’t (ยู อา น็อท = ยัว น็อท / ยู อ้านท)

We are = We’re (วี อา = เวีย)
We are not = We’re not / We aren’t (วี อา = เวีย น็อท / วี อ้านท)

They are = They’re (เด อา = แด)
They are not = They’re not / They aren’t  (เด อา น็อท = แด น็อท / เด อ้านท)

ประโยคบอกเล่า

• ประโยคบอกเล่าจะเป็นโครงสร้างธรรมดา คือ ประธาน + is, am, are + ส่วนขยาย (นาม, คุณศัพท์)

ประโยคบอกปฏิเสธ

•  โครงสร้างปฏิเสธคล้ายประโยคบอกเล่า เพียงแค่เอาคำว่า not มาวางหลัง is, am, are

ประโยคคำถาม  Yes / No Question

การทำประโยคคำถามง่ายๆเอง เพียงแค่เอาคำว่า Is, Am, Are มาวางไว้หน้าประโยคแค่นั้นเองและอย่าลืมเติมเครื่องหมายคำถามท้ายประโยคด้วยนะครับ

ประโยคคำถามแบ่งออกเป็นสองประเด็นคือ ถามในรูปแบบบอกเล่า และถามรูปแบบปฏิเสธ

1. การถามในรูปแบบบอกเล่า

2. การถามในรูปแบบปฏิเสธ

การถามในรูปปฏิเสธแบ่งออกอีกสองประเด็นคือ ในรูปแบบเต็ม และรูปแบบย่อ

*** ไม่ว่าคำถามจะเป็นอย่างไร ถ้าใช่ก็บอกว่าใช่ ถ้าไม่ใช่ก็บอกว่าไม่ เช่น แมวตัวนี้สีขาว แล้วมีคนถามว่า

ห้ามตอบ yes นะครับ ถ้าตอบ yes จะหมายความว่ามันมีสีดำ

ประโยคคำถาม Wh- Question

ให้เอาคำเหล่านี้ (Who, What, Where, When, Why, How) นำหน้าประโยค ตามด้วย  is, am, are

Who is that? นั่นคือใคร
That is a doctor. นั่นคือหมอ

What is it? มันคืออะไร
It is a dog. มันคือหมา

Where is my pen? ปากกาของฉันอยู่ไหน
