Hello, we hope you enjoy the video and learn something about quantifiers. Here are the differences we mentioned in the video.
Difference between few and a few (countable):
A few is used to express objective statements.
Example: I have to pass a few exams this semester.
I have a few pencils.
Few implies a negative meaning.
Example: I just have few friends.
I only have few sweets left.
Difference between little and a little (uncountable):
A little is used to express objective statements.
Example: There is a little food left.
There is a little sugar in the tea.
Little implies a negative meaning.
Example: I have little water left.
I have little patience.

Quantifiers are words we use when we want to give information about the number of something. This can be how big something is, or how many there is of something. They are a type of adjective we use to describe both countable and uncountable nouns. For more information on adjectives and nouns, see the videos in the description and don’t forget to subscribe to my channel for more fun video lessons!
As I said before, quantifiers are a type of adjective used to tell us how many there is of something. Let’s look at these basic quantifiers.
all, some, more, a lot of, enough, no, any, most, lots of, less.
Let’s try to make a few sentences with them:
I want all the candy!
There is no candy.
I have some candy.
Do we have any candy?
Can I have one more candy?
Do you have a better idea of how to use basic quantifiers now? Good! Let’s move on.
So, to get you going with quantifiers let’s look at which ones you can use for countable and uncountable nouns?
For countable nouns we can use these quantifiers;
many
few
a number (of)
Here are some examples
I have many pencils.
I have a few pencils.
A number of students.
For uncountable nouns we can use these quantifiers;
much
a bit (of)
a large amount of
Some examples are:
I don’t have much time.
A large amount of money.
A bit of money.
