Animals You Will Appreciate That They Are Extinct
Today, there are a lot of animals in danger of being extinct. Some of them, like the Bengal tigers, are the
most dangerous animals that have ever walked the earth. For the most part, we don&39;t want these
animals to get extinct. That is possibly because we live in cities where these animals cannot possibly arm
us.
However, humans of thousands of years ago did not have the safety that we have today. Early homo
sapiens had to hunt with spears and face these animals in their territory. It was an incredibly dangerous
time filled with heroes— and also a lot of death. The humans of those days would most likely be happy
when dangerous animals got extinct, and they would have good reason to be happy too!
In fact, if you met a Bengal Tiger today and you had nothing but a spear, you would also wish that
they&39;ve been extinct. So we&39;re going to be running through extinct animals that are so dangerous that
you should be glad they are extinct. So dangerous that if they were not, and you met them while
hunting, you&39;d have a good shot at dying a fairly spectacular death. These animals are so fearsome, so
incredibly dangerous, that if they were not extinct today they would be a threat to entire civilizations.
Now, before we go on this amazing journey into the past, I&39;m gonna need you to reach out and give this
video a like. Why? Because it&39;s an amazing video that you&39;d like, so there&39;s no need to postpone the
inevitable.
Let&39;s Go!
10. Ratzillas
At the number ten spot, we have this absolutely beautiful monster. Do you hate rats? Do you hate the
way they scurry about like little kitchen demons? Well, you&39;re certain to hate Ratzillas more.
Why Ratzillas? Why were they given this name? Easy. These animals lived eight million years ago and
looked like Rats. The only significant difference, of course, was that they were ten feet tall. So imagine a
Rat that looks like a Bear. Did you shudder? I did.
The rodent weighed about 1,540 pounds. That&39;s about the weight of a female giraffe, and even a full
grown grizzly bear doesn&39;t weigh that much. Thankfully, the animal was herbivorous so it wouldn&39;t have
disturbed human beings that much. However, it had extremely long incisors, and it hurts to even
imagine how that would look on a human body.
9. ShortFaced Bear
ShortFaced Bear doesn&39;t inspire feat or trepidation in your heart. However, make no mistake, this
ShortFaced Bear was a monster in anyone&39;s books. It got extinct about 11,000 years ago and was native
to California.
The Arctodus is considered to be one of the largest known terrestrial mammalian carnivores to have
ever walked the good earth. So why was it named the shortfaced? Well, compared to other species of
bears, it had a relatively short snout.
The animal often weighed just over 2,000 pounds, that&39;s about the weight of a water buffalo. To give an
accurate description of how huge they are, they are 50% larger than the largest polar bears in recorded
history.
Now, for the scary part. The ShortFaced Bear was almost completely carnivorous and would have to eat
about 35 pounds of meat each day to survive.
Imagine thousands of animals like that roaming the grasslands of California. Wouldn&39;t you be scared?
8. Gigantopithecus
An animal with a name like that is certain to be bad news, and it is. If you&39;re a conspiracy theorist buff,
you may have heard the stories of a huge manlike creature that roams the arctic.
Well, scientists have dubbed the Gigantopithecus a reallife bigfoot. This animal roamed Asia as recent
until a hundred thousand years ago and measured up to ten feet tall. They were ancestors to Apes and
Orangutans and many are calling them the largest known primate species to have ever existed.
These gigantic animals weighed as much as a live bear and had an arm span that was 12 feet wide. While
the Gigantopithecus was mostly herbivorous like its closest relatives the Orangutans, it remains a
difficult animal to imagine existing. Imagine such an animal giving you a bear hug! That would be a
fearsome experience like you&39;ve never had.
7. Haast&39;s Eagle
Imagine a large eagle that could sweep down and carry a small child off to snack on? The Maori people
of South Island, New Zealand didn&39;t have to imagine that. They had the Haast&39;s Eagle, and it was the
exact representation of that image.
The Haast&39;s Eagle didn&39;t start off life with a taste in little children. In fact, the bird generally preferred a
flightless and quite delicious bird called the Moa. However, the Maori people also loved the Moa, and
soon it was extinct.
Hungry and with no alternatives, the Haast&39;s.

The official debut of UK based artist & producer Culan is shaping up to be a climactic moment in modernday dancehall and reggae.
Born and raised in West London and hailing from a Jamaican and English family, Caribbean culture has been deeplyrooted within Culan in many ways. He grew up on 80’s and 90s Dancehall, his earliest memory being Reggae Sunsplash 88 when he learned every Peter Metro lyric. Culan’s first step into the music realm was through his uncle who had already built a fierce reputation in the prolific UK sound system scene. After years of growing up under his guidance and following him to sound clashes in London while fully absorbing the genre, Culan was embraced by the wellestablished London based reggae label Jet Star at the age of 16 as an inhouse producer and engineer. This was the pivotal moment where he found his true calling and decided there was no turning back.
While at Jet Star, Culan began to produce & remix songs for reggae legends such as Beenie Man, Beres Hammond and more working on available acapellas for compilation releases on the label. Fast forward to now, he has evolved into a respected musician working with top urban producers such as The Fanatix (Popcaan, Giggs, Stylo G), Sons of Sonix (Ty Dolla Sign, Trey Songz, Stormzy) and Josh Thompson (Mullally, Rita Ora) among others.
Since the start of his career, Culan has graced the Rampage stage at Notting Hill Carnival and various clubs around London. 2017 proved to be a monumental year as the release of his original dancehall rewrite of Ed Sheeran’s international hit “Shape of You” quickly went viral, amassing 7 million views within 4 weeks. This resulted in organic UK radio support from powerhouse stations Kiss FM, Capital Xtra and BBC 1Xtra.
In 2017, he teamed up with VP Records on Strictly the Best Vol. 57 with his single “Easy to Love You”, which was recorded spontaneously yet organically when Culan birthed the lyrics as soon as he heard the riddim. Culan hopes to expand his fanbase by not only making new waves in dancehall and reggae music but in the overall culture. His other interests include furthering his music production catalog, fashion collaborations and pursuing acting later in his career.
