One of two.
You can have it in either colour.
either (determiner)
Each of two; both.
There is a locomotive at either end of the train, one pulling and the other pushing.
either (pronoun)
One or other of two people or things.
He made me two offers, but I did not accept either.
either (conjunction)
Introduces the first of two (or occasionally more) options or possibilities, the second (or last) of which is introduced by \”or\”.
Either you eat your dinner or you go to your room.
You can have either potatoes or rice with that, but not both.
You’ll be either early, late, or on time.

Điều quan trọng bạn phải nhớ: either luôn đi cùng với or, neither luôn đi cùng với nor.
Hai cặp từ này được dùng như là từ nối.
Either và or được dùng để đưa ra lựa chọn một trong hai thứ.
Trong khi đó neither và nor được dùng như là một phép phủ định.
Hãy cẩn thận khi dùng các từ phủ định kép neither và nor. Bản thân hai từ này đã mang nghĩa phủ định. Sau đây là một ví dụ. Adam và bạn cậu ấy không biết bơi. Bạn sẽ nói: “Neither Adam nor his friend can swim.”
Nếu bạn nói: “Neither Adam nor his friend cannot swim,” thì có nghĩa là cả hai đều biết bơi.
