ภาษี eservice คือ ภาษีมูลค่าเพิ่มที่ผู้ให้บริการอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ในต่างประเทศ ที่ไม่ได้จดทะเบียนในประเทศไทย มีหน้าที่เสียให้กับประเทศไทย เมื่อมีรายได้ค่าบริการผ่านแพลทฟอร์มอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ ในอัตรา 7% ของยอดค่าบริการ
โดยธุรกิจหลัก ๆ ที่ต้องเสีย คือ ธุรกิจให้บริการโฆษณาต่าง ๆ ดูหนัง ฟังเพลง สตรีมมิ่ง หรือ จองโรงแรมออนไลน์ เหล่านี้ถือเป็นกลุ่มที่เข้าข่ายทั้งหมดครับ
ภาษีตัวนี้มีผลยังไง? ตอบได้ว่าสำหรับผู้ประกอบการที่จด VAT ในไทย สรุปง่ายๆ ว่าชีวิตไม่เปลี่ยนแปลงอะไร โดยมีหน้าที่นำส่ง ภ.พ. 36 เหมือนเดิม เพียงแต่อาจจะต้องแจ้งเพิ่มเติมกับผู้ให้บริการว่าเป็นธุรกิจเราจด VAT และไม่ต้องเรียกเก็บเราอีก เช่น กรณีของ Facebook ก็ต้องมีการกรอกเลขประจำตัวผู้เสียภาษีเพือแจ้ง
สำหรับผู้ประกอบการที่ไม่จด VAT หรือคนทั่วไปที่ไม่มีหน้าที่เสียภาษีมูลค่าเพิ่ม หากผู้ให้บริการมีการเรียกเก็บภาษีส่วนนี้เพิ่ม จะถือเป็นต้นทุนหรือค่าใช้จ่ายที่เพิ่มขึ้นอีก 7% ครับ ดังนั้นระวังต้นทุนที่เพิ่มขึ้นให้ดีครับ
